Dr. Mark Arthur Milleman, MD

I went to Dr. Milleman seeking him to exend my existing prescription for testosterone cream. My family doctor felt uncomfortable with monitoring this issue. My family doctor had gotten me an appointment with another doctor at the same office. I had to break that appointment and was reassigned to Dr. Milleman. Dr. Milleman ordered no tests prior to my visit. Upon my visit he informed me that a lab test from a year ago in my patient chart showed "rock star high levels of testosterone" and he was going to have me stop the testosterone cream. I asked where did this test come from? I had no memory of taking a blood test from the month he indicated. He sent someone after the test report he did not have with him. (I never did see the test results.) The doctor never told me what the level of my testoserone had been. He never told me what the normal range for testosterone is. He never told me what the ideal target for testosterone ought to be. He did not tell me what all the tests… were in that report he mentioned, nor whether they were the right tests for my condition. He asked about the doctor who made the original prescription and then went on to tell me that that doctor must have been incompetent to make that prescription decision. His nurse performed blood draws and I gave a urine sample. No one informed me what tests were going to be run on either sample, but I should call back next week to get the results by phone if I hadn't heard from them by the weekend. I asked at the admin desk what tests were going to be run. The receptionist replied she did not know, but it must be a lot since the doctor asked for a large blood draw. I called back and asked about the testosterone level. The nurse informed me that the testosterone levels were at 501 - perfectly normal - and I was to continue on the doctors orders. I asked why am I being instructed to eliminate my testosterone prescription when my testosterone levels read normal when I am on the testosterone cream prescription? I also stated to her that I am having negative side affects from the reduced T levels. She called back with the doctor's reply: Continue to reduce the testosterone, just more slowly. At my appointment, Dr. Milleman was entertaining a guest family doctor whom he was showing off to about how knowledgable he is. He spent much of the time talking and bragging. He did not seem to listen to my concerns. If he did, they were not important to him. Dr. Milleman gave me no information on information I ought to be informed about on the current issue of managing my testosterone levels. He had no concerns for my side effects. He gave me no prediction of what my active blood levels ought to show if the high level reading were going to be confirmed. He gave me no notice of what "normal" blood tests ought to read. I cancelled all my further appointments and am seeking somebodey else.
