Dr. David Scott Sandock, MD

This is a doctor who is rarely available and demands you to come in and see him rather than tele-med or a phone resolution. When you do drag yourself in, he has nothing to offer, makes no additional efforts, and depending on his mood - may treat you borderline rude. If he was more engaged and proactive with his patients he wouldn't have to suffer through as many patient appointments which to him appears tedious. The sad thing is that you are going because you're in pain so to have this level of service laid over the health problem is disheartening.

I'm writing on behalf of my husband who went to see Sandock for a very unusual growth in a sensitive area. At the initial examination, my husband (being a reserved man already embarrassed by the situation) was not warned ahead of time that Sandock had a resident shadowing him who happened to be a "beautiful, young woman." He was forced to ask her to leave the room because he did want to expose his vulnerability to someone like that. Also, Sandock said "I don't know what this is. I've never seen it before." At the actual removal procedure, he was left to lay out completely exposed in the room for an inappropriate length of time. During the procedure Sandock said again the quote from above. My husband insisted the specimen be sent out for lab diagnosis. Sandock said "yes it will be." That night he says to me "As I was getting dressed I saw the specimen laying out on the table with all the dirty tools." I asked, "was it in a jar, or next to a jar waiting to be transferred?" "No, it… was just sitting there like it was tossed aside. I went up to look close at it to see what the inside looked like." 1 week later and we find out that the pathology was never done because the specimen has been "misplaced." Given the fact that the specimen was never prepared appropriately to be submitted to the lab, I refuse to accept the excuse that "the lab lost it." They need to take responsibility for their inaptitude! Instead all we get from the doctor is "I assure you it's benign." He said TWICE that he didn't even know what it was so how can he be so quick to "assure" that it's not anything worse.

My primary care doctor referred me to Dr. Sandock after I fired a urologist who I experienced as being uncaring about my concerns. During my first visit with Dr. Sandock, I was very impressed with his concern for my emotional comfort. He was very thorough and shared information regarding my urological concerns that my previous urologist had never mentioned. Before ending my appointment, he asked how I felt about the information that he had given me and whether I had any other questions or concerns. Dr. Sandock thoroughly explained an exam that he recommended I have and its importance in analyzing my current health and setting a base-line for tracking changes, should they occur. I left his office feeling that Dr. Sandock is as concerned about my urological health, as I am. Within 2 business days, Brian, Dr. Sandock's assistant, called me to schedule a follow-up exam. Brian was just as caring, courteous, and professional as Dr. Sandock. Label me, "One Happy Camper."

My urology doc since 2000, he is the best. His nurse Darcy and assistant Brian are also efficent and caring. He saved me from kidney cancer.

He was highly unprofessional with terrible bedside manner. He prepped me for a procedure and left me in a room long enough that the automatic lights went out so I sat in the dark for a further fifteen minutes. I would rather live my entire life with kidney stones than ever see this man again.

Very impersonal and rushed to get the diagnosis. I did not feel confident and had the procedure performed at other facility.

Dr. Sandock was highly professional and skilled. I would recommend him to any of my friends or family.
