Dr. Mark Andrew Mozer, MD

My wife had a severe anxiety attack, bad enough that she spent the day in the the St. Peter’s ER. We were referred to the Psychiatry unit but the recommended Dr. was not available, so we made an appointment with Dr. Mozer. During the interview he said about 10 words, as my wife explained her situation. At the time she had the shakes so bad her hands were in constant motion. He said “yup” and ‘Okay” and grunted a lot. The thing that really was bizarre was that during the entire 30 minutes he spent with us, he was either picking his nose or cleaning his fingernails. That is not B.S. I was disgusted. He prescribed two types of medication and said see me in a month! My wife was shaking like a leaf and had “ bad thoughts.” What a great help. Two days later, my wife was still in bad shape. I called and asked what should I do. The next day he called back and doubled her prescription. Take more pills !!! This man is a disgrace to the profession. We have since found competent help and they… cannot believe how we were treated. St. Peter’s does not have a wonderful reputation compared to other Montana Hospitals, this man surely contributes to that problem.

I was referred by my primary to Dr Mozer. I initially had been diagnosed with generalized anxiety but after being with her for awhile she felt that there was a possibility I had PTSD stemming from a couple traumatic events years previously. My initial visit did not go well. I proceeded to talk about why I was there and the traumatic events behind my visit and was getting emotional. He quickly changed the subject and proceeded to talk about himself, his family and other completely non related topics. It was honestly completely bazaar, I felt like I was his psychiatrist and not the other way around. I decided to stick it out and give him another chance. I had a few follow up visits and it was clear he had no interest digging into mental issues at all, the couple times I saw him he was staring at his laptop in complete disinterest to what I had to say and sticks to his own basic preconceived notions of what your issue may be. As a patient and if you want to get to the root of your… problems to find answers that will help and solutions to get better my recommendation is don't see Doctor Mozer. Your wasting your valuable time and money.

Mozer prejudged me before I ever walked into his office based on information received from an NPA who was my "caregiver." He was not in the least interested in hearing my side of the story. He is totally incapable of thinking outside of the tiny box he inhabits. He prescribed a psychotropic drug that could not help me in the least, and would more likely harm me. I did not fill the prescription, nor will I. Seek elsewhere if you are looking for a fair and unbiased judgement of any problem you believe that you may have. You will not find it from him!

I told him after doing much research I felt I had been misdiagnosed and that I was perhaps ADHD. HE sneered at me told that something that was diagnosed when you were a child and every woman wanted an RX for speed.I have since been diagnosed with ADHD and am off all my anti depressants and thriving on the proper medication. On a side note at one appointment I was telling him I was excited about going to my high school reunion and he got kind of weird and said he would never go to his and even had to turn the radio off when an 80s song came on because he hated high school so much. I'm sorry it was so but I don't know about you but I don't want to have to talk my shrink down off the ledge at MY appointment. Especially about THE 80s! !!

I really like mozer . He is prompt . Easy to talk with And he just outstanding . Just wish sometimes He will sit with you longer and find out more details
