Dr. Mark Packer, MD

Dr. Packer performed my refractive surgery. He did a wonderful job.

I would never recommend Dr. Packer to anyone with children. I would suggest traveling to another city for an appointment before scheduling one with him. He was so rude and terrible with my son. He should never have involvement in any pediatric field.

I've seen Dr. packer for a number of issues, from the mundane (conjunctivitis) to the common (cataract surgery) to the odd. He is ok at the simple stuff, but has seem little interested in investigating the cause of more challenging problems.He has also seen my child and he was adequate, but mostly for the routine matters.

I have great confidence in Dr. Packer, however, his billing department did not handle my questions about getting CPT codes so I could ask my Washington insurance co. what I could expect for "out of pocket" expenses. I am being responsible/proactive in my financial obligations. I was transferred twice, put on hold 4 times and hung up on when I requested a manager to help me.. no voice mail options, just hung up on. That scares me! I suggest there is a need for policy change here. My insurance co. stated there was a call about "co-pay" nothing about CPT codes or what I would be responsible for. I guess we just show up with a blank check on surgery day.
