Dr. Mark Gary Sabbota, DO

Been a patient with them for over a year. Still have not seen or met Dr. Sabbota once. All appointments are handled by his nurse practitioner. Few weeks back I was hospitalized again for same issue from a year ago. I made sure to pick a hospital Dr. Sabbota made his rounds at and could check in on me. In the hospital for 4 days and never stopped by once. Was in emergency last week. The attending doctor there needed to speak with "my" cardiologist and called several times to discuss my condition. Dr. Sabbota refused to pick up the phone.

Never actually saw him. Saw young female who I presumed was a P.A. - Recommended immediate surgery for stent implant some 8 years ago - 2nd opinion from Dr Pearl recommended diet etc - as you see I am still alive and healthy

I had four appointments with him. I paid my deductible of $40.00 each time and NEVER met or spoke to him. Each time I only saw his P.A. I didn't pay to see his P.A. I paid to see him. What kind of care is this ? Each time I was told that you weren't there. I was prescribed a drug called RENEXA to treat an AFIB condition by his P.A which caused lots of blood in my urine. The staff there told me to go directly to Memorial Hospital in Pembroke Pines for treatment. Three days of IV antibiotics. In those three days Dr. Sabbota NEVER came to see me. Sorry Dr.Sabbota, I don't need this neglect. I have moved on to a REAL cardiologist who actually cares for my well being and personally calls me with my blood test results. I finally had to have my condition paddled electrically to correct my heart beat. I'm feeling so much better now and can breathe better. Start caring more for your patients and spend more time in your office instead of relying on your P.A. to do your work !!!

They have the echo cardiography, EKG, blood work, even DNA analytics all on site. Modern up to date office, immaculate and spacious. All staff is highly trained, efficient and thorough. They always return calls promptly and follow up to check how you are doing. The doctor himself is amazing, kind, compassionate, hard working and extremely devoted to his patients. The staff works together effectively to deliver the best possible care and I highly recommend this doctor and his entire staff.

Dr. Mark Sabbota entered my exam room with a slovenly appearance. He was unshaven (about a 3 day beard) and poorly maintained scrubs. I had the distinct feeling that he was not concerned about the abnormal ECG yet he prescribed an Echocardiogram and Exercise Stress Test Thallium. Thank goodness the testing was within normal limits. There were several incorrect notes on the physical exam. The spelling of my name, the medications I am on and the list of allergies were also incorrect. Having worked in the health care field for forty years I am fully aware that these errors, while minor, can be a headache for the patient in future exams and testing. All effort should be made to have things right.

Dr Sabbota has been my cardiologist for the past 8 years and I am here today thanks to him and the treatments he has given me. I did EECP, known as the natural bi pass, which created new arteries and I was able to breath better. He sent me to Memorial West to have cardiac rehab twice in the last few years. He and his partner Randy are the best cardiologists in all of South Florida!

Three simple 20 minute catheter procedures has changed my life. The procedure has eliminated the pain of swollen feet. I now keep my shoes on when I drive. I am looking forward to skiing. I no longer dread ski boots!
