Dr. Mark J Schwitz, DDS

For Dr. Mark Schwitz the practice of orthodontics is his passion, and his primary goal is–and will always be–to see that each family that decides to have braces for their loved ones have the most positive experience that they have ever had in a health care environment. Dr. Mark Schwitz grew up on Long Island, New York, where his father, Dr. Sydney Schwitz, practiced orthodontics. Dr. Schwitz credits his father for teaching him how to be a true professional-by treating everyone that he came into contact with on a daily basis exactly the same–with dignity and respect.
Dr. Mark Schwitz studied Mathematics and Science at the University of Pennsylvania, graduating in 3 years with a Bachelor of Arts degree. In 1979, Dr. Schwitz graduated from New York University College of Dentistry with a D.D.S. degree. After …completing 2 more years of advanced study at the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Dentistry, Dr. Schwitz completed the requirements established by the American Association of Orthodontists and the American Dental Association to become certified as a Specialist in Orthodontics.
Dr. Schwitz is a member of the New Jersey Association of Orthodontists and the American Association of Orthodontists. He received the American Association of Orthodontists Award for Exceptional Interest in the Development of the Oral-Facial Complex.
Dr. Schwitz continues to attend numerous orthodontic education programs including advanced seminars each year to keep him in the forefront of orthodontics. Dr. Schwitz was invited to make a presentation at the Greater New York Dental Meeting entitled "How to Create Extraordinary Teamwork in Your Office."
When not at the office, Dr. Schwitz enjoys walking the boardwalk, skiing, and hiking in Vermont. Dr. Schwitz lives in Manalapan with his wife, Lynne, and sons, Scott and Corey. He is an active member of the National Eagle Scout Association. Dr. Schwitz has been in the private practice of orthodontics in Marlboro and Howell since 1985.
