Dr. Mark Randall Sexton, MD

Dr. Sexton exhibited a bad bedside manner. I felt rushed and not truly heard. This appointment was to address a mental health issue that I’m seeking help for before it becomes a crisis. He appeared incompetent when it came to a patient requesting help for a mental health issue. I basically got the equivalent of “suck it up.” He did nothing to address my problem. After talking to my wife about the doctor’s response, she advised me to ask for a psychiatric referral. I asked the nurse about getting a referral, and she gave me intake paperwork for a local psychiatrist. Dr. Sexton never came back in to discuss this further. His response to my problem was in no way therapeutic, and I would have walked out of the office with no guidance had I not specifically asked for the referral. I will definitely be finding a new primary care physician. I absolutely would NOT recommend Dr. Sexton

I have been seeing Dr. Sexton for several years now. He is always available to see me if I am ill. He uses great common sense and judgement! He doesn't jump to conclusions. He has a caring, genuine attitude! I have never regretted my decision to have him as my physician and have complete trust in him.

I have been diagnosed with kidney cancer and Dr. Sexton has been a tremendous help with getting specialists scheduled in a timely manner. He has intervened and personally communicated with the doctors. When I called with scheduling difficulties, he and his staff took control. Thank you Dr. Sexton, and Cindy, his assistant. I have never seen a more rude, disrespectful physician in my entire life and I have been an RN for 30 years. I will never go back.

I was also treated very poorly at this office by make sexton, i will not refer to him as a doctor and he should be investigated . The rudess person I have ever met , not even close to any sort of professionalism, he has got a serious problem, reminds me of someone that is using, if you know what I mean.I'm not going to get into my personal healyh issues on here but if you really need a doctor then go somewhere else. I also went in with Dr. Lewis but never ever seen him, they will only put people with mark sexton, which is worse than having no doctor, so my friends if you read this you will be way ahead of the game and not have to suffer like a lot of us had to because of a real JERK! This will help a lot of people if you go to medicalboard.georgia.gov and file your complaint online and help all of columbus and phenix city get rid of this evil bad person mark sexton! One thing for sure he will have to answer for his actions!

I wouldn't even call him a doctor, it is a sad situation at family phycians. Until the management realizes the problem they will continue to spiral down hill. Run far and fast away from this place if you value your health!

After short wait he came in the exam room, asked me a few questions, listened to my heart and lungs, and then refilled my prescriptions. Just what I would expect from a great doctor!

Recently I woke up with numbness on my left side. I called Dr. Sexton's office to find out which ER I should go to and was advised to come straight there so Dr. Sexton could evaluate me rather than sitting for hours possibly in an ER. I went in and was seen immediately. When Dr. Sexton could not get an MRI through radiology at St. Frances due to their computers being down he sent me straight to the ER and called ahead to let them know I was coming. The ER ran all sorts of tests and I was eventually admitted to the hospital for further testing to include an MRI. Dr. Sexton was very comforting, concerned and acted quickly in my situation. His bedside manner at the follow up appointment was wonderful. He took the time to talk to me and my husband and answer our questions.
