Dr. Mark David Sherman, MD

He repaired 2 hernias I had back in 97'. All the titanium clips that held the repair mesh on place migrated all around my torso. 1 ended up by my armpit, another came back through my skin. The repair has held together however, for 27 years.

This guy is a real piece of work. He is clearly at a point in his life where he can do nothing else and is just spending the days (trying to boost his bank account) until retirement. He did an emergency surgery on my elderly aunt, who then had a long and difficult course. She ultimately died, perhaps not as a complication of what he did, but he never saw her after he put on the dressing! He didn't even know she died! Much less cared! But his office was quite communicative for the balance on his bills.There are a lot of docs out there - find someone else!

i could not have asked for better care. From Dr. Sherman,his office staff,same day surgery,and,of course the o.r. staff.I would rate my care an A+.Dr. Sherman came to see me before surgery and several times after,and was quite caring and concerned that I was comfortable and not in any pain. I am very happy with my experience with Dr. Sherman and The Valley Hospital.

Doctor never came in to say hello before surgery. I had to ask if Dr Sherman was in the OR when I was on the table before they put me to sleep. After care was terrible. I got a bad infection after a minor breast operation, couldn't get a follow-up appointment while I had a worsening infection, ended up having to go to another doctor to get re-operated on and deal with the infection on an emergency basis. This is not the way surgical care should be delivered.
