Dr. Mark Joseph Smith, MD

Dr Smith is an excellent Doctor. He was My Doctor of 16 years. He always very Compasionate and understanding. He is the best Doctor ever. Gina Hoffman

Both my children have seen Dr Smith and he is more concerned about giving his diatribes about VITAMIN D then anything else. Every darn time I've taking my children to see him he says the same thing about VITAMIN D and neither of my children are lacking the vitamin. While it is a important vitamin he's so wrapped up in it he completely dismisses everything else. Example. I took my 4 year old in for a visit he had a fever and wheezing. They happened to have a cancellation so I was able to bring him in. Dr Smith goes on and on about VITAMIN D and I ask for an x ray because I'm worried about pneumonia. Oh no he said. Children get little viruses all the time. Give him 3000IUS of vitamin D and antibiotic. Ok fine. So I take my son to urgent Care later because I new something wasn't right and THEY do an x-ray and guess what? Pneumonia! My other child gets chronic ear infections and i noticed he started to snor and wakes up frequently at night because he has trouble breathing so I make… an appointment with Dr.Smith to get a referral to an ENT. So appointment day arrives Dr.Smith comes in and I tell him my concerns and he says I won't give you a referral today but I will see you in a month and the weird part was Dr.Smith didn't talk to me he talked to my 5 year old the whole time. If I asked a question he would answer to my kid and went on and on again about VITAMIN D. His recommendation was come back in a month keep taking vitamin D, a pro biotic and nasal decongestant and if he hasn't improved I will give you the referral. My kid isn't lacking in vitamins.minerals and has a healthy diet but the doc wouldn't accept anything else. So i had to wait a month and my kid didn't improve. Still has ear infections and trouble breathing. Vitamin D can't help tonsil and adenoid size . Got the referral ...Ok thanks dr wack a Doo. Totally got a much better dr for my children and am so Happy.

I was really surprised to read neg reviews on him. I have been going to him since my first child was born and he has been nothing but exellent. He takes 45 min with us and discusses everything with plenty of other tips for their age. He knows my kids very well and is great with them. My daught looks forward to seeing him and refuses to go anywhere else. He is very considerate and sensitive

Every time I need to see Dr. Smith, we discuss my problems and what needs to be done. I always walk out knowing that his staff and himself have taking care of my needs. Dr. Smith has always treating me with respect & kindness. He is the only doctor I know that will discuss other ways to help treat your problems.

My family and I have been seeing this doctor for about 6 years - he is excellent in bedside manner, never rushes to a popular diagnosis, spends time with you, is wholistic and kind. He models healthy lifestyle himself. It is hard to get an appointment but after meeting with him he will sometimes set you up with a follow up and that is helpful. He is very smart and takes time to explain diagnosis and ideas for your overall health. I work in social services and highly recommend this doctor.

I agree with the previous review. Bad bedside manner, rude, unhappy staff, extremely short visit. He just looks at you and hands you a prescription and you are rushed out before you even have time to tell them what the problem is. Ridiculous that people have to deal with these quacks they call professionals. NO THANK YOU!!!

The front office staff and doctor have a complete lack of empathy and concern for follow up care. It takes 2 months to get an appointment, and make you feel bad when any questions are asked. They were rude and difficult in almost every conversation. I never complain, and am almost always understanding of a busy staff. But when you can't even get an office to return your calls, or care that you are sick...enough is enough. I only hope I can help keep someone else from having to go through the same thing I did.
