Fell and had a bad break in my left arm. Dr. Sumida was able to operate and repair it. Had some discomfort, but no pain. His excellent surgical talent and his smooth, customer service visits make him #1 in my book. Will always be grateful he was recommended to me. Top-notch surgeon with an excellent team behind him.

Have had several ortho issues and have seen Dr. Sumida for solution. Never wait long for appointment, he explains his findings in a caring and complete manner, suggesting a solution to the problem thoroughly. Trust him with all ortho needs.

I have had much experience in the last 21 years with Dr. Sumida - foot/heel; both elbows, right shoulder. In 1998, I was not sure I would ever walk normal again, but thanks to Dr. Sumida I was able to make a complete recovery!!!

I have been a patient of Dr Sumida for over 20 years. He has performed 2 knee surgeries; one on each knee. 2 Rotator Cuff surgeries; one on each shoulder. He also repaired a bad fracture in my left wrist that happened as I was jogging. Dr. Sumida is a very compassionate and thorough physician and is also considered by me as a friend. I’m not quite sure how to satisfactorily thank Dr. Sumida for relieving the pain in my ankle. I “really” forgot how it felt to walk without burning pain. The surgery results have boosted my daily outlook on life. Prior to the surgery, I envisioned my remaining days limited to light walks with extreme pain. One and a half years after the surgery, I take extensive walks / hikes with little to no ankle pain—gaining strength and confidence daily, while increasing my physical activity. I call Dr. Sumida my miracle doctor. He always get to the bottom of pain without guessing and follow up with prompt treatment. He doesn't want anyone to be in pain. He treated my husband who had a bone in his leg almost destroyed by cancer and today is even better that original. That is just one of many miracles he has performed for us. I thank God every day for this wonderful doctor who treat you like family and not a number on a chart.

Dr. Sumida is very professional and really does a great job of being thorough and kind. Unfortunately their is a skinny lady behind the desk who has a God complex. How dare you ask a question and getting information from her is like pulling teeth. She is very short with you and doesn't want you to know any more than the few words she is willing to share. I would not let this stop you from receiving care from the best orthopedic surgeon in the area.

Dr. Sumida and his staff are very professionial and competant. We feel extremely blessed that we were referred to him. Dr. Sumida reconstructed my daughter's foot and while she was in surgery, his nurse called us frequently in the waiting room and gave us updates, reassuring us that the surgery was going well. His staff has followed up with my daughter after surgery. I have been extremely impressed with his office and would highly recommend Dr. Sumida!

I recently fell and broke several bones in my left foot and needed reconstructive surgery. I am so thankful that the ER doctor referred me to Dr. Sumida! I have been to all kinds of doctors (due to unrelated illnesses) so I was a bit disenchanted by my past experiences. This was such a traumatic and life altering injury (I can't be on my feet for up to 8 weeks) I was terrified and shocked. Not to mention I recently divorce and learned that I was no longer covered on my insurance. After being in the ER and learning of the extent of my injuries, I was devastated. Luckily, the kind staff at Dr. Sumida's office saw my X-ray and learned of my situation via the ER doctor, and they made arrangements to see me immediately. First, upon entering the door at the office...I was greeted by name. I mean, they said "Hello, Dani. We are so glad to have you here." I am sure they could all see the shock on my face...everyone was so sweet up front and check in was fast. I only had to wait a few… minutes to be seen. If i gave you a play by play of my experience with them, this would be too long. All I can say is that the doctor and staff emit such kindness and equal parts professionalism, and they have restored my faith in the medical world and in people in general! The day of my surgery the professionalism and care continued. I happy to report that my surgery was a success! I am only a few days post op but I feel so much better already! They put me back together! I was so happy with my experience I had to send them a card...and it went a little something like this.... Dr. Sumida and Staff, Thank you so much for all you and your staff have done for me! Everyone at the office took what was a scary situation for me and totally turned it around. I feel so blessed that God guided me into your office. It almost sees surreal that there are still such caring people in this world. I could thank you a though time and it wouldn't be enough.
