Dr. Mark Waynik, MD

Dr. Waynik has provided strength when I had none, advice when needed and rarely if ever reschedules me or cancels an appointment. Plan to wait for your first visit. He is my lifeline when life hits hard as a psychiatrist should be. He is there to help all of his patients (of all ages) suffering or simply in need of a confidant when dealing with life's difficult times that we all go through. I have seen him for many years regarding my needs ranging from personal to professional advice. He is very guarded on medications and listens well. Contrary to negative reviews he DOES explain medications with follow up appointments from 10 min to 40 min sessions. The negative reviews are completely inaccurate in my opinion. The entire staff especially the "front desk reception" and technicians are all patient, kind, attractive and very friendly. They work well as a TEAM. I have never had any negative issue. I honestly do not know how he keeps up the busy schedule as a family man. He… is the best in his field by reputation and any referrals I have sent to him are equally happy. I have worked in the field myself in a different capacity but am now self employed in a unique unrelated field so I field qualified to make comment. Best to be prepared with co pay in advance and prompt. Parking is easy, private and handicap accessible with an elevator to meet everyone's physical needs. Respect his time as he does yours. Allow 2 days for refills and at times a brief wait per your phone call. I have never left feeling down only much better emotionally. Look no further!

I disagree with negative reviews. As a professional myself, I admire Dr Waynik's calm demeanor yet he is attentive to your needs in session. He employs quality therapists if needed for weekly support. The waiting room is casual and comfortable. There are few private practices left. Dr. Waynik's extensive experience is worth waiting for. He does not push medications, he first discusses them. He cares deeply for people. I have never left feeling I was not understood or rushed. The Trumbull office meets my needs. I feel he has compassion for his clients. Prepare in advance to check in and arrive 10 min early. Always allow 3 days to call in requesting a refill. He listens to your needs with a kind demeanor yet offers quality advice. I highly recommend this practice.

Awful!! Mark Waynik dies not listen or talk up you.... he talks at you! He’s distracted, rushed, and doesn’t rally take the time up get to know the person. Gives a script and that’s it!! I know other people- including a Psychologist- who won’t work with him!!

I’ve been seeing this guy for two years (unfortunately), and have reluctantly stayed with him during that time because I didn’t know any better. He has no other goal than to push pills on you, and when the pills don’t work the way you’d like then he always defaults to upping the dosage. Whenever you’re in a meeting with him, it is obvious he wants nothing more than to get you out the door as soon as possible and doesn’t actually care if you get proper treatment. He also referred me to another staff member whom he gave the impression was an expert, but when meeting with them they told me that they are not. Do not waste your time with Dr. Waynik like I did, and go find someone whose actually worth it.

Worst office i have ever been. The staff from phone calls to in person visits extremely surley, rude, offensive. Is hard to believe these men went, not to mention graduated from medical school. Dr Snyder is barley awake, unprepared, confused. Worst experience i have ever had with what I would very liberally refer to as a”Dr” office

I have been going through severe withdrawals since taking myself off of all the pills he had me on. It’s been 2 months since I started coming off of the meds. which began in the hospital after I became confused and fell. Watch out!

SEES ABOUT 60-70 PATIENTS A DAY...HOW DO YOU EXPECT TO GET QUALITY CARE WHEN YOU ARE RUSHED IN AND RUSHED OUT?!?!?! S A V E Y O U R M O N E Y!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU'LL BE HAPPY YOU DID!

I found this doctor through my insurance; and I would never recommend the doctor or the group. The staff is unfriendly; there is always a long wait, and once inside the office, the doctor is always rushed. (I also had the same experience with the social worker I saw there.) It is the opposite of calm and compassion - I always leave feeling stressed and rushed. It is clear they are working on a patient quota, and cannot wait to get to the next patient. They also seem aggravated when insurance requires pre authorization (which mine always seems to when the doctor prescribes a medication for me). The pharmacy then needs to call the doctor; it takes several days and then the doctor's office charges an additional $20 for the phone call they must make.

Dr. Mark Waynik has been instrumental in my treatment of severe depression, OCD and anxiety disorder. Dr. Mark Waynik has been patient, kind and understanding of my condition and appropriate with my treatment. I have been able to make an appointment on an emergency basis when I really, really needed to see Dr. Waynik as well as my regular appointments. Dr. Waynik is a wonderful Dr. and I will reccomend him to anyone.
