unethical Doctor who also is dishonest. Would not recommend to anyone.

my appointment was at 9:30. I wasn’t seen until 10:15. Mind you I’ve been waiting for a week to find out my results so needless to say I was anxious. While the front desk ladies laughed and giggled about their weekends I was finally called in after 45 minutes of waiting. When I got into the room I waited an additional 15 minutes until the dr came in. He brought me in his office and needless to say did not give me good news. He did not have all of my biopsy results nor did he really exsplain what it was that’s happening to me. I had so many questions but as soon as he realized that surgery wasn’t an option for me he lost all interest in trying to help me. He kept saying “find an oncologist and they will answer your questions” so I basically wasted a whole day and a tank of gas to go to and from Morristown just for the dr to tell me he can’t help me. When I got home he called me back with the remaining results of the test. I asked him to please spell it out for me so I could write it… down. He got annoyed with me, breathed heavy on the phone and spelt it out fast and then proceeded to hang up on me. I waited to see if he would call me back but he didn’t. This is a poor excuse of a cancer dr. If you have no sympathy or empathy for patients coming to you to SAVE their life the YOU shouldn’t be a dr.

He treated my family and I as if we were just a number. He had a terrible bed side manner and was extremely incompetent. When asked for the best care he replied with “there is none”. When we suggested a different hospital he immediately became offended and put his hands up in the air and said “you can do whatever you want” as a cancer dr he should be more sensitive and compassionate when it comes to telling people news such as this. I don’t recommend ANYONE seeing him or going to Morristown hospital. Always get a second option and make sure the dr’s and nurses care about the patient as much as you do.

No manners at all. If you value your life more than anything in the whole wide world, do not pick this man to be your surgeon!

I am certain he is a very skilled surgeon but his bedside manner really stinks. I'm concerned that he is teaching future surgeons to treat patients with lack of compassion. If you want a surgeon who cares about your welfare, keep looking!

So far I have only had my consult with Dr. Widmann but he was so nice and friendly. I am confused to see all these negative comments. We even spoke about our pups and his children. Happy I was referred to him.

Arrogant, refuses to acknowledge errors. While there is no way to know for sure, my Mom died after open lung biopsy by this guy or his resident. They argued and refused to listen when we expressed concerns about bleeding from the drain tubes only to agree that there was a massive bleed which they then said was untreatable. This led to lung collapse, fall in hemoglobin and then death. He thinks he is God and his service/residents are too afraid to say/do anything. He makes hospital a lot of $ so even though they know his results are spotty, they allow it to continue,

The title sums it up. If you are looking for a dr. with a good bedside manner, Widmann's not the one. I also know many dr.s and nurses at Morristown Medical Center who have unanimously confirmed his extreme arrogance.

Compassionate-caring -competent-previous negative comments should be removed!

He is a very horrible doctor and my advise, DON'T have him as your doctor
