Dr Ziats is the absolute best, he listens well and works with you on what you think is important. He one time saved my life when other doctors just dismissed my complaints. His patients are lucky to have him.

Back in 2017-18 I was seen by Dr. Ziats who was a resident at U of M who was unable to find a diagnosis consistent with the symptoms I was experiencing. Due to the lack of a diagnosis, he assumed I was acting out of pure psychological behavior and labeled me with somatization disorder. I begged for him to be more understanding as I knew these problems were real and that I was not having them due to this psychological disorder, but he continued to tell me that it's "normal" for people to be in denial with this disorder. I eventually left the clinic to seek help elsewhere and have since found amazing physicians who took my concerns seriously and appropriately diagnosed and treated me. The "somatization" disorder was untreated Candida infection, issues from my Mirena IUD and bouts of Atrial Fibrillation with RVR. When I told him about a rapid heart beat near 200 bpm while sitting and doing nothing, he facetiously told me his HR reaches the 190 range when he runs, and he’s “not dead… yet.” I have never felt so demoralized and small in my entire life. He should be ashamed of himself for treating me like I was crazy when there were true physiologic conditions causing my symptoms.
