Dr. Marlyn Lorenzo, MD

Worse dr I've seen in a long time. She treated me like I didn't belong there. I couldn't understand what she was saying to me. When she snapped at me I thought it best to search for another dr.

The office staff never answers the phone, I leave messages and my calls are never returned. I am in the process of finding a new rheumatologist.

She is always late and therefor you are seen late. She also is very bad about getting back with patients when they call and does not follow through with test results and giving them to patients in a timely manner. I would never recommend her to anyone!

I am now on my third day (and two phone calls later) waiting for someone to call me so I can schedule an appointment with Dr. Lorenzo. Needless to say, I went elsewhere.

Surprised by some of the negative review as my experience is quite different. I have found Dr. Lorenzo to be very thoughtful, caring and deliberate in coming up with a treatment plan. As to waiting for appointments, confusion over appointments, that occurs everywhere in my experience Recommend without hesitation

Does not return phone calls when I was in sevvere pain due to a gout episode. 3 messages were left by my husband and myself. She finally returned my call after 6 days. I would not refer this doctor.

On my very first appt. I waited about 30 min. They finally called me and asked why I was there. They had overbooked the appt. They said didn't you get a call? I hadn't. So I rescheduled. Waited 40 min. She asked me a few questions, said I should participate in a Johns Hopkins study and said she'd call me the next day with the info to participate. She never did. She schuleded me for a blood test and a chest x-ray. I never got the results of my tests. That was 3 months ago, and I have never heard anything. She also did not tell me what to do for my problem, and did not give me a diagnosis. Also, she has a very strong accent, and I had difficulty understanding what she was saying. So, $90 later, I have no diagnosis, wasted my time and still have the problem. I wouldn't go to her again if you paid me.

I would NOT recommend this dr or practice on Belair rd to anyone! Walked in, the front desk directed me to 3 different areas, stood in 2 long lines, before I was directed to the correct area (dr lorenzo's area). (I should have known right then & there to find someone else to go to)! Then I stood in front of receptionist while she was on a personal call for approx 15 mins only to find out that they were supposed to mail "new patient" forms to me-to be completed before I came in for appt. I had to wait while the other office faxed them over. The dr is very hard to get a hold of! Will NOT return calls, when you are waiting for results...it is very frustrating!
