Dr. Marlyn Aleece Lake, MD

This doctor is a terrible person. Extremely unprofessional, and would not recommend her to conduct medical care with any other patients.

I did not go to Dr. Patterson-Lake for baby sitting or hand holding. I realize that doctors are busy and their time is in demand because, let's face it, there are more people needing care than doctors available. However, I found her depth of knowledge professional, and her experience impressive. She cut through the bulls---- and told me like it was. I prefer the truth, and I like people who are straight talkers. While I can understand that some people require white gloves or eggshell handling, I found this doctor to be excellent for other professionals who can appreciate quality care, and an amazing but efficient staff. If I need friends or comforting, I'll get a dog. I would highly recommend her and her staff to others.

I love going to Dr. Lake she is a very patient and understanding doctor. I have been seeing her for about 6 or 7 years now and have not had a bad visit. I drive an hour to see her because I can not see myself having anyone else treat me for my M.S. I would recommend her to everyone.

Dr. Lake and her Staff are great! I definitely would recommend Dr. Lake; she took her time with me, explaining things so I could understand. Dr. Lake's Office Manager Kristie and the rest of her Staff are friendly and ready to help in whatever way they can!

Having Dr. Lake as my neurologist after my stroke was a blessing. I am very grateful for that. Now, her office personnel is another thing. My visit to see Dr. Lake has been cancelled 3 times already and when I suggested that instead of scheduling an appointment, to let me know when the doctor was available and I would go any day, any time. I thought I had made myself understood and the conversation was ended. I also requested to ask Dr. Lake if I was supposed to be taking my medication or if I can stop it. I guess since my visits have been cancelled, I was doing well. Then a few minutes later some one called me and identified herself from Dr. Lake's office. This person was not only very disrespectful to me, but didn't allow me to tell her what had transpired in the previous call (when my appointment was cancelled again). She then told me that it was my choice to stop the medication - I had asked to tell Dr. Lake about the meds - not if I could just quit them. At this point the person… on the other side after talking loud (it sounded like one of those tv shows where everybody talks at the same time), I had enough and I told her she was disrespecting me - she has no clue when it comes to good manners. Then she tells me that if I didn't want to schedule an appointment, then I should seek another doctor.....now this was a WOW, for me. I understand that Dr. Lake is very busy, I understand that appointments sometimes are cancelled, what I can not understand is the behavior of the person that talked to me the second time. Please, I need a response to this concern; I would like to know that it was read by someone that could give me an answer. Peace and blessings. Namaste
