Dr. Marshall Grodofsky

Horrible bedside manner. Didn’t treat my daughter or even look at her (11 mos old). Condescending. Lectured me for 90 minutes. Did not allergy test her when that was specifically what I asked to be done. Allergy testing was the reason for my visit. Shamed me for still breastfeeding her. Office staff unhelpful.

Dr. Grodofsky was incredibly rude, and did not care to listen to anything I had to say about my daughter and the reason for our visit. He essentially lectured me when I walked in about how I wasn't going to agree to testing anyway, so why was I there (no such words had even come out of my mouth... as the whole reason for my visit was to have allergy testing done). Never even acknowledged my daughter, who was the patient and in the room as well. He only spoke about her to me. He then handed me 2 papers, told me to show them to my husband so he could decide whether or not we needed to test my daughter. I have never been more upset with any doctor... and we have seen many throughout my daughters medical journeys.

I went in to have my daughter (7 months) tested for food allergies. She had reacted to dairy (skin reactions and GI related stuff), peas (the pediatrician was concerned about peanuts due to the pea reaction), mango, sweet potato, and the doctor decided to test for egg as well. I also mentioned that my daughter had been reacting to our dog and was wondering if we could test for environmental allergens as well. The doctor asked me if I would be willing to get rid of my dog, to which I replied, “no.” He then told me he will not test for that allergy as I obviously do not care to hear what the results are since I’m not willing to get rid of my pet. He proceeded with the food allergy testing, and when he read the results his only response was “no life threatening allergies.” I reminded him I never thought there was an anaphylactic response, I just wanted confirmation that she has these allergies. He kept repeating that there are “no life threatening allergies.” Then he told me to get my… child dressed and we could leave. When I walked out, I asked the front desk if I could have a copy of the report for my own medical records. The doctor handed them a piece of paper that said “no life threatening allergies,” and I was told they’d contact me in a year to bring my daughter back for a follow up. I will not be bringing my daughter back to him. I called our pediatrician immediately when I got home and told him about the situation. HE will be giving me a copy of the report the allergist sends over and HE is supportive of me not seeing this allergist again. The allergist also told me “for all he cares I can start giving my daughter the foods she reacted to again, since she will not go into anaphylactic shock, it’s just a matter of being uncomfortable...”

I found Dr. Grodofsky to be extremely rude. He has poor bedside manners. When you are not feeling well and are desperately searching for a doctor to show a little compassion and help you determine the correct treatment plan, the last thing you want is a doctor who enjoys lecturing you and kicking you while you're down. I would never recommend him.

The Staff was very welcoming.. I went in for one thing to get checked out but the Dr did not acknowledge my problem instead he tested me for something that wasn't of my concern nothing that had to do with my whole visit. On top of that my problem has not been fixed and he was so Rude..

Went in to get tested for a bee stung because I broke out in have from my third time getting stung Dr told me the hives were from an infection probably staff makes no sense how bee sting can cause staff that then turns to hives within 24 hrs getting stung then he test me for environmental allergies wow then he's rude but in a sarcastic way ...would not recommend find a better Dr

This office is just unprofessional and rude. Dr. Grodofsky is very condescending, as is the staff. Pulled my records and had them transferred to an office with integrity and professionalism.

Harvard education aside, I am not impressed. He was condesending, gave advice regarding a medication which is contrary to the conventional wisdom in the realm of pharmaceuticals (I have 26 years exprerience in pharmacy), neglected to write one of the prescriptions, doubled the dose on another, wrote for one med which is not approved for children under 2 (my son is 6 months) and told me to come back in 2 years when he goes to kindergarten (now how many 2 1/2 year old kindergarteners do you know?). I'll grant you that we now know at least 3 things my son is allergic to, but I wish he had tested for some of the other common triggers while we were there (fishing for another copay/visit/testing fee?) and I definietely don't trust his prescribing habits. Not impressed.
