Dr. Marshall D Kurtz, MD

First appt: he talked super fast and I was so unprepared for my surgery. I had no idea what to do to prepare in the upcoming days. His consulting appt was maybe 10 minutes. So short bc he gave me no info. His assistant had no idea what she was talking about the day of my surgery as well. I also waited about an hour for no reason explained to me. My surgical site got infected too. Didnt even have a post-op appt which seemed weird to me. Now I have had to go back to his office 3 times. Would have given him one star but he was funny so I’ll spare him 2. P.S. his partner Dr. Lee is 10000000x better. definitely recommend Dr Lee over Dr Kurtz any day.

Could not be more pleased! NOW JUST A NOTE ON THE NAME OF THE ACTOR LOOK-ALIKE. HIS NAME IS SIMON BAKER. HE PLAYED THE PART OF DETECTIVE ON THE MENTELIST T.V. SHOW. SURE LOOKED A LOT LIKE DR. KURTZ! ANGIE VAIUSO

This practice is very money oriented, patient needs are of secondary concern. He charges more than other oral surgeons and lives well. Nice vacations, fancy cars--he said so. Not a person with a lot of character, and if you have a complication, he will not appreciate it. It takes up his time, with little monetary return. Don't go to this guy, he really doesn't care about you, only your wallet.

Two procedures. Waited an hour and a half for both with no explanation. Very arrogant! Condescending when answering questions.

Arrogant, money hungry, scam of a dentist who puts himself ahead of his patients. there is definitely something amiss in this office. Horrible experience and will never return.

Waited over two and a half hours past my appointment time with no explanation, I had to ask what was going on before anyone said anything. The staff was horribly disorganized and didn't seem to care. I was quoted much higher for the surgeries than other oral surgeons and unnecessary procedures were tacked on to the surgeries by the doctor that other oral surgeons said he didn't need to perform on me. None of his staff could tell me what my insurance would cover no matter how many times I called. Now I'm getting enormous bills for some crazy mouth scan the doctor did but didn't need to do because none of the other oral surgeons I went to did it. And my insurance won't cover it and no one bothered to tell me this might be an issue before they did it. When I complained about all of this, no one was willing to work with me. The billing manager said she couldn't do anything and the doctor took my concerns in writing and never called me about it, which is basically like saying he… really doesn't care if I had a terrible experience. Total rip off and horrible customer service. I would never trust these people to perform surgery on me!

Love Dr Kurtz. My son's had all four impacted wisdom teeth removed. Since my own surgery did not go well 35 years ago with a different oral surgeon, I was very worried. Everything went extremely smoothly, there were no complications and they healed beautifully. He did a great job of putting us at ease. We went to the New Milford office and it was state of the art, clean, and the staff was friendly.

I recently had all 4 of my wisdom teeth extracted. Dr. Krutz along with the nurses made me feel very comfortable and at ease with the process, especially with this being my first surgery. I had gone for consultations with other oral surgeons and refused to let them work on me. I have difficulty trusting doctors and will always go in giving them a hard time (jokingly) as a test to see how they deal. If they cope an attitude, they're done. If they can keep up with my sense of humor and maintain professionalism I like them. Dr. Kurtz was one that I clicked with, he can take and he can give it. The day of surgery he talked to me for a bit to calm me down and walked me through the process and laughing gas! My procedure went smoothly and in less than 30 minutes, he checked me in the recovery room as well as followed up the evening after my procedure. I wouldn't complain on pricing when it comes to my health. My insurance paid majority of the bill, I was left with pocket change to pay. As for… others reviews on here about the office style, it's an office.. what matters is the quality of work and compassion of the staff... you're knocked out anyway for the procedures so why care how old the décor of the waiting room is?

I give 0 stars for friendliness! The Staff is not friendly at all!!!!! They frown upon asking questions and being nervous about taking wisdom teeth out. As for the Dr., he was nice.

One star was me being kind... Dr Kurtz truly deserves 0 stars.
