Dr. Marshall Watson Jr., MEDICAL, DOCTOR, MD

This doctor performed back surgery on me in 2008. I now have "failed-back surgery syndrome," which I never knew was something one could have. Watson would not allow me a follow-up visit at his office. He complained about the reimbursement my insurance, which was through a special government program, paid him. He never conducted follow-up X-Rays or any follow-up testing. My primary care physician, troubled by the care I was receiving by Watson, told me to call his office and ask why he had "abandoned my care." My doctor said to specifically use the word "abandoned" because that was a medical term that would get Watson's attention. I did just as I was told, and sure enough, I got a call back immediately asking me to come in for an appointment. At the appointment, Dr. Watson walked in the room and said to me, "Exactly what is it that you want me to do"? My husband, who was with me, and I couldn't believe what we were hearing. Not much later, I needed my records from Dr. Watson, but when I… called I found his office no longer existed. I drove to his office and was told by someone in the building that Watson had packed up in the night and left the state. I don't know the validity of that statement, but I do know that I was never advised by letter that he, a doctor treating me, was closing his office. I have been disabled ever since 2008 and live in constant pain. Another person's experience may be different. This is my experience and that is all I can speak of.

Dr Watson repaired 2 disks in my neck and his explanations and bedside manner were well beyond my expectations. His staff is highly skilled and as personable as he is. They all made my surgery and hospital stay as comfortable as can be expected. I'll use Dr. Watson again if I ever need anything done.

He was awesome, staff was great. All around great experience and great outcome. Very appreciative family.

Dr. Watson took time to answer my question and to ensure I understood my diagnosis. He was the 2nd of 3 NS's I consulted with and he is my 1 choice!!!!!

Very thorough. Caring physician, one of the best. Covers every aspect of problem prior to surgery.
