Dr. Marshall Allyn White, MD

Dr. White and his staff are awesome! I had the Miradry treatment done and I’m so thrilled with the results. It was easy to book an appointment, friendly staff, very little wait time and they explained the procedure in detail. It’s really a life changing treatment and I’m happy I went with Dr. White!

I have been wanting to see Dr White for 20yrs. Ever since diagnosed with fibromyalgia in college but didnt have the money and he wasnt taking new patients. Finally I saved $500 to go see Dr. White not just for pain management but also my mental health, diet, exercise sleep.....He required I get a release from all my doctors. I was on 12 medications and hopeful he could make some positive changes in my life which is not very productive so I got the releases. Then, he took me off EVERYTHING to include Nausea, restless leg, muscle relaxer, adderall, ativan, effector, morphine, gapapatin, steroid pack, imitrex, vitamin B shots, oxycodone and Mobic medicines. He made me choose oxycodone, morphine or adderral? I have been on all meds for 13 years. I was seeing mental health, gastro doctor, primary doctor and a pain doctor. I then went back to my primary doctor who couldnt see me because of switching back and forth and "continium of care" now have nothing and no one.This doctor charged $500… to walk in the door and $190 monthly for 1 prescription a month. If you need him other than the 1 day he sees patients every month then too bad. I am disabilied and have insurance but had to pay cash to someone who never even checked my blood pressure, temp, etc. He sits behind his desk and makes every patient feel like they are an addict. I walked in his office one day and said "wait" he looked at my arms then yelled to his assistant to grab the injection track review page to put in my file. Apparently he thought I injected drugs. If he knew me he would have known I have a power smart port in my chest. I dont have any injectable veins. Anyhow the other patients heard the whole thing as they always do. He didnt help me. He hurt me!. Beware

When I started with Dr.White he was ok. But this past year he has been rude and not wanting to listen when I told him my neck was getting worse. I had two 2 drug test that came back with nothing in my system which is not true. I take my meds everyday. I had someone in the waiting tell me their test came back the same way. Any time I did tell him something was wrong he said that I need to lose a lot of weight. I might be heavy but some of meds have put weight on me. Since he has divorced his wife his attitude is really poor for a doctor. He also accused me of selling my meds cause they didn't show up. idn't appreciate that at all. I would not recommend him to antybody.

He is very rude and doesn't listen. He only like to prescribe prescription and thinks thats all he needs to do. he prescribed me topamax and didnt tell me the major side effects or withdrawal symptoms. this medicine put me in the hospital and i felt like i was dying...literally. he tried 2 other prescriptions but they didn't work either. Also, he false diagnosed my MRI. All he wants is money and doesn't care about his patients. I didn't have a good feeling about him from the beginning but thought I would give him a try...I should have went with my instinct. He needs to be turned in so this won't happen to anyone else.

Dr. White is an extremely knowledgeable doctor and is very straight to the point. If you are looking for a Doctor that is going to beat around the bush and coddle you. Than keep looking Dr. White is not one of them, he is going to tell you straight up what is wrong and how to fix it. He will listen and work with you to get you where you need to be too feel better medically. He pulls no punches. I have been going to him for 3 years now. Yes, there are days he is running late, like most Doctors, but he drives 2 hours to his satellite office in Sumter to take care of his patients. With all the complaints I have read on here seem to be from people who need coddling. I personally would rather have a very knowledgeable, honest and compassionate Doctor that runs late, than one that is prompt and shuffles you in and out. I also don't mind the wait in the waiting room because if it was me back there I would appreciate other patients understanding that just means I had things going on that… needed to be addressed. We drive an hour to see him and if I had to I would go to his main office in Mt Pleasant which is about a 2 1/2 hour drive. I am not one that likes to change doctors. Great doctors are hard to find. It seems to bother people that the staff writes the prescriptions and makes the appointments. He checks over them while going through your chart before he signs them. I called that being organized and I bet the pharmacies are glad they write them to. With all the changes to heath care and insurance companies. Dr. White made changes also. He treated me and all his other patients for 4 months without payment because of the cuts and major changes to Medicaid and Medicare. He certainly didn't have too, but that's just the kind of Doctor he is. Compassionate and does what's best for his patients. I am happy with the quality of care I receive from Dr. White.

Dr White is one of the best doctors in SC. He listens to your problems and also recommends solutions. A friend told me about him a while ago and I've been seeing him since. I've seen him on his busiest days still take time with his patients to listen to problems and not rush you in and out. Thanks Dr White. His staff in the Sumter office are very friendly and kind. With a waiting room the size of a normal bathroom, you are assured you will have to stand up. I have waited for up to 2 hours before. On my second appointment he informs me I have very bad arthritis in my spine. On my third visit (knowing he is a busy man and will not spend more than 3 minutes with each person) I tried to jump quick and tell him something more was going on. In the middle of my first sentence ( I said Dr. white something isnt right, ) he stopped me and rudely said, " I cant make you feel forty again!" Then he proceeded to go on a rant about the govt. I transferred to another Dr and found out a lot he missed on the mri! I also have three bulging disk and had he of listen to me that day, he would have found out I had a far worse medical condition (besides spinal issues) and could have advised me on who, what and where I needed to see and discuss to find the answers. Bottom line, he only cared about money. In the short time I seen him, he discussed with me every visit… how much he made with each patient and how obamacare was screwing up his profits. Oh and yes, he does talk about other patients loud enough for the WHOLE waiting room to hear and he is VERY rude.

Dr.White is very to the point and and a great guy if you take the time to get to know him. All the bad reviews i have read seem to be from people who need their mothers to take care of them. He doesnt have time for druggies and knows if you are one. But if you have problems he is the one to see. I am actually enjoying life again and even playing with my boys like a good father should. Thanks Dr. White. I also started raising rabbits. Lol

Had I not had a primary care physician and intelligent husband who advocated for me when I could not advocate for myself, I would be dead, thanks to this QUACK. He has no beside manners at all, is just plain rude, wants to just write prescriptions without running necessary test to determine if the medication is warranted or not, etc. He is the KING of all FOOLS, and anyone with even a,modicum of common sense would steer clear of him. He really is a disgrace to any type of legitimate medical system!!! On the bright side, he has this one nurse who is the absolute best. He really needs to take some lessons in interacting with people from her. I really feel sorry for her for having to work with an ARROGANT FOOL like Dr. White.

I loved doctor white he was the best doctor I have ever had. We had a great relationship for 5 to 6 years I trusted that he would take care of me but when it came down to it he never even gave me a chance to explain he just asumed the worst and listened to other people instead of sitting down and talking to me. Ok so let me tell u what happen to me I was with like 6 years had never failed a drug test and I had 40 surgerys and he became my doctor there is not anything he did not know about me. 2 years before I was dismessed my fiance shot hemself and died a year latter he knew I was on zanxes abd 210 mg of methadone a day. And oded of corse. He never gave me a chance to explain he just assumed the worst and he told me if I was cleared by a psy that he would write my methadone again so thats what I did and he lied all he had to do was call the hospital and he would have known I still had a half a bottle of methadone left I went to detox tgen I went to alcohol and drug abuse abd went… wacamaw mental health and was cleared by everyone. He never asked me about what happed at the hospital my mother told them I od on purpuse I woukd never do anything like that does it make since to wait 2 years after ur fiance dies and then choose to take ur life that just seems a little stupid to me. And if I ment to overdose why was I cleared by everyoneeveryone. But he did not care to listen and he would have cheaked dr. Fox a pain speicialist in florence kept me on my methadone and I am sure if he thought I od he would not have kept on my methadone why I was in the hospital if he would have thought I od he would have taken me off methadone but he did not care about any of that he just assumed the worst I trusted him with everything in me I told him everything and then he did not want to hear anything so now I have to livein pain and will never trust another doctor again . Dr white neds to learn to listen to his patients and not othes around him
