Dr. Martha Severino-Peralta, MD

Great doctor but your United Health moved you too far!!!!!

I was a patient of Dr. Severino for 10 years. Because I was feeling very sick, I went to her office at 8:30 AM to ask her staff if I could see her. They told me that since I did not have an appointment, I could not. (Her office hours start at 9:00 AM.) I told them that I would have to go to Urgent Care. That was fine with them. Urgent care gave me pills and sent me on my way. On Wednesday, still feeling very sick, I asked Dr. Severino's office for an appointment with her. They could only accommodate me with an appointment with her P.A. which I accepted. I told her i was nauseous and unable to eat. I was prescribed more pills. On Friday, feeling even worse, I said that if I could not see Dr. Severino, I would have to change doctors. They then gave me an appointment for Monday, a week after my initial visit. (It was probably with the P.A.). Saturday morning I was so sick, I drove myself to Emergency at Danbury Hospital, and was diagnosed with pneumonia. I was… hospitalized for 3 days and to this day, I have not heard from Dr.Severino. I am well now. I picked up my records from her staff and found another primary care doctor that was a rather difficult thing to do because 5 doctors to whom I was referred were not taking either "new" patients or those on Medicare. I do believe Dr. Severino is a skilled doctor but totally lacking in care and compassion.

Both my wife and I began seeing Ms. Campbell, the PA at this office about a year and a half ago. While she is thorough and quite knowledgeable, she began to see symptoms as the problem for my wife's conditions, and ceased looking for the root causes. Treating the symptoms was getting no where, so we have sought help elsewhere. My disappointment is also that I never saw Dr. Severino once, not even walking through the office. I read all these rave reviews and wish that she had treated us, but alas we seemed to be also-rans. But my title is what we are most disappointed about. The staff seems to be very unconcerned about us as patients, and focus entirely on getting money from you and making sure that the paperwork is complete. There is little or any concern for our well-being or the care of our health. If they just learned some manners, it would go a long way.

I love Dr Severino!!!!!!

Dr. Severino makes you feel at ease and if extremely friendly and takes the time to listen to you. Her staff on the other hand are rude and most of the time seems to not know what they are doing or could care less of how they handle themselves at the front desk. Very unprofessional. The only reason I continue to put up with them is because I truly like Dr. Severino and her caring manner.

I've been visiting Dr. Severino, and Dr. Campbell, since she opened her office; 3-4 years now, I believe. Here are two doctors who spend the time that you need; they ask questions, they listen carefully. If you have concern, they look into it immediately. A member of my family was in medical trouble and Dr. Campbell called me on a Saturday and spent 30 minutes on the phone with me, providing insight and advice. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

My experiences with both Dr. Severino and Dr. Campbell have been amazing. They have always taken great care of all of their patients. They are both capable, knowledgeable, and patient. The office staff is helpful, kind and flexible, and they always treat you right! I would recommend this family-friendly office to anyone!

Dr. Severino is a wonderful caring person. Her family is number one to her and her medical practice is her passion. I feel very fortunate that I reap the benefits of her passion. I looked for a physician for a long time and she was real find.

She is great. Very personable, very caring. wait gets a little long due to her taking a lot of time with each patient.
