About my wife, she's had chronic A fib for 10 years, last year she started retaining water, Ast has been her cardiologist for the last 10 yrs, we made an appointment for this water retention per our primary Dr. And Dr Ast said when she showed up, "what do you want me to do? " so did t do a thing..sent home, three weeks later was in E.R. with chronic heart failure,...11 days in hospital,new cardiologist....they took over 90 liters of water out, luckily she's come out good, still fighting the loss of muscle and movement...but 100 percent better than 1 year ago

Dr. Ast is both a brilliant and compassionate doctor. Highly recommended.

Dr. Ast spends individual time with patients making sure that they understand their diagnosis. He is very intelligent and has a gift of conveying information to the patient in a understandable manor that will allow the patient full understanding of their diagnosis. He is very good at explaining disease using models, pictures, ect and allowing a patient to leave his office with a full understand of their disease and what to expect. He's a good one!
