Michigan Brain & Spine is a one of the very few practices in the country that has both neurosurgeons and orthopedic surgeons who collaborate on cases, which means the patient receives a more informed evaluation of their case. We work with other professionals in non surgical fields such as pain management and therapy to allow for a complete range in treatment options. Our physicians are all board certified and due to the research that we do and to our continuing eduction, we are abreast of the latest techniques in spine surgery, including kyphoplasty and minimally invasive procedures like vertebroplasty.

Was hard to find a spinal doctor who would perform laminectomy of intervertebral L4-L5 cyst. Dr. Martin Buckingham performed a perfectly successful operation and no discomfort afterwards.

I had been seeing a local Dr. for several weeks with no relief. One appt. with Dr Buckingham , diagnosis, prognosis...least invasive procedure...pain gone....

He is a very nice doctor, unfortunately he is unable to help my husband but he did take the time to go through all of his scans and explain stuff to us that the other doctors have not bothered to do.

Dr. Buckingham gave me hope when numerous surgeons said there wasn't any way to help my spinal pain. After surgery, I was able to lead a semi-normal life, with minimal pain.

I had a spinal fusion c-4, c-5 performed by Dr. Buckingham 10 years ago. He did a wonderful job and 10 years later, I am living almost pain free. His surgery skills made me enjoy life again. Also, I admired the way he made me understand the procedure and what to expect after the surgery. I was so comfortable with this kind, humorous, understanding, Docter. I would recommend him to anybody.

I had two operations performed by Marty Buckingham, spinal fusion and a disk operation in my neck. Eight years Nd five years out respectively, the results are excellent. A very cautious and capable surgeon. Nice guy too.
