Dr. Martin M Gilboa, MD

Our son was born with a condition that is usually fatal. Dr. Gilboa referred him to the proper surgeons and specialists that were able to give him life saving surgeries that healed our son. He's always been very friendly and so helpful for giving both our sons the care they needed.

My child was having behavioral issues at school and I wanted to have him seen by the specialists at the John Richards center. Dr Gilboa kept avoiding this request and instead when I said I was concerned my child had ADHD he said he could write a prescription! I was astonished and disgusted he would rather medicate a small child than offer the referral. He finally gave me the referral when I insisted he write it. My advice if you have Kaiser and a child with issues that are impacting their education, INSIST on getting a referral to the John Richards Center (for some reason apparently Dr are NOT going to give you this unless you fight for it. This was the 2nd Ped Dr I'd seen at Kaiser and neither suggested this service - I found out about it through a therapist I saw out of pocket). The John Richards center staff are fantastic. They were able to diagnose my child (who BTW, did not have ADHD) and get me on the right track to help my kid succeed .

Rude and harsh. Not willing to listen to my concerns. Treated us like a number and not a patient.

Very calm and friendly doctor. He puts your mind at ease for every concern and gives you hope, yet orders tests when needed and follows up. The best doctor we've taken our son to so far. Office staff and wait times are also top notch and friendly.
