Dr. Martin Stephen Walko

I went to see Dr Walko for a consult for a surgery at my first appointment I was told everything I wanted to hear, unfortunately that came to a screeching halt when I was told that I was lied to and that he has never performed the surgery that I was looking to have. Dr Walko also violated my HIPPA rights as he contacted my employer in reference to my surgery and it was done out of malice as he was not happy that he was not doing my surgery. If you do plan on have Dr Walko as your surgeon make sure you do your homework to see if he has indeed performed that surgery you are looking to have.

Very professional and will discuss everything before to make you feel comfortable. He took out my gallblader with no problems and has helped me so much

I went for my over-50 colonoscopy. First appointment was to explain the procedure and several options for pre-procedure medications. We also discussed persistent heartburn and the pros/cons of doing an endoscopy while I was there. We ended up doing both colonoscopy and endoscopy. He found nothing wrong with the colonoscopy but found an ulcer in my stomache which he is currently treating me for.He is very good at explaining everything in easy-to-understand detail, and his staff are very knowledgeable and helpful.I have heard that he can be rude to the hospital staff at times, but I never saw anything but professionalism and a very good bedside manner.
