Dr Marty is the BEST!

I loved Dr. Buchanan and I didint have to wait very long for them to call me back, I was not satisfied with MA, she was very unprofessional when calling for results and they turned out to be very abnormal she acted like it was no big deal, she was not helpful at all and did not answer any of my concerns nor did she want to send a message back to ask the doctor. I also feel that the wait time to get a real person on the phone is horrible, I have waited more than 20+ on hold before and i understand office's are busy but every time I call I wait a long time!

My 83 year old mother has been seeing Marty Buchanan for several years. In the beginning, she was very pleased with him as a doctor and my husband and I even switched to him. However, the past couple of years, he has changed his demeanor dramatically. My mother fell and was adamant about not going to the emergency room, but she agreed to go see Dr. Buchanan. He sent her across the street for an x-ray, but failed to follow up when he didn't receive the report from the radiologist even though he told us he suspected she had broken her hip. Later that afternoon when she was in so much pain she finally relented to be taken by ambulance to the hospital. We had a copy of the x-ray and showed it to the ER doctor, it took him about 10 seconds to determine she had broken her hip. When Dr. Buchanan came to the hospital that evening, we asked why he didn't follow up or look at the x-ray films that were sent over to his office. His response was "she's not the only patient I have and I'm not a… radiologist and I can't read x-rays". We have moved her into an assisted living facility because we no longer feel it is safe for her to live at home alone. Recently, we visited Dr. Buchanan to ask that he complete a physician's statement for the application for VA benefits (my mom is the widow of a WWII veteran). His comments were, "the government can't afford to pay for everybody" and he recommended we just put her in a nursing home!

I have been seeing Dr. Buchanan for 7 years now. I have never waited more than 5 minutes in the waiting room or exam room. He has always given his full attention to my concerns. I have never felt like he was rushing me or putting me off.Even my husband is now seeing Dr. Buchanan and is very pleased with the care he is and has received. -- rsc

DR. BUCHANAN IS A TERRIFIC DR. VERY PLEASANT & KNOWLEDABLE, VERY CARING & attentive to your needs !! he always gives you samples of a drug to try before you fill the rx to make sure it works well for you. best dr, i have ever had, ever !!! i'm 64 yrs old !!!
