Dr. Marvin Jason Young

After being misdiagnosed and suffering for 2 years, I went to see Dr Young and received a correct diagnosis that corrected my problem and saved my life.

Every time I had an appointment, I had to wait hours before Dr. Young actually saw me. At most, I then got a few minutes of his time. Worse, his delays resulted in a second surgery that should have been unnecessary. And still worse, he was pressuring me for yet another surgery that was totally unnecessary, and was easily proven so by a simple non-invasive test. I am extremely happy that I ignored his advice and found another doctor.

I had minor surgery with this doctor. I would liken his stitching skill to a premed student with Parkinson's. Seven months after my procedure I have hypertrophic scarring, skin tags, and suture tunnels. The surgery site looks like something that should be in a textbook on how not to stitch skin back together. Nice guy, but he's either unskilled in surgery or just plain negligent. Go find someone else if you need surgery.

Dr Young saved my life. I was diagnosed with prostate cancer and had proton radiation (my choice) he was not my doctor at the time. Two years later he became my doctor. Three years out from radiation I told him that I had a gut feeling something wasn't right PSA 0.3 (unreliable after radiation) so he LISTENED and sent me for MRI which showed probable recurrence of cancer. He then referred me for special biopsy which was positive for recurrent adenocarcinoma. So then referred me to a surgeon who does salvage robotic prostatectomies. And none to soon I might add. Yes Doctor Young saved my life. Had he like so many doctors said watch it. I would be fighting metastatic cancer or even worse dead.

I was nervous, but the staff, was great, and put me at ease !!

The office staff is HORRIBLE and rude! The Dr. wants to move your appointment the day of. I was told I would be contacted to schedule my surgery and never was. Instead I was told the day before that it was the following day and then told a different time from the dr office and the hopsital! When I called the day of they pushed it to the end of the day with no notice and I only found out because I called. The staff hung up on me and they are HORRIBLE! Didn't do the surgery found a new dr!

I met Dr. Young because of an ER referral in 2014 for kidney stones. I was new to the area and didn't have any doctors here yet. But I continue to see him by choice. His treatment was wonderful, his follow-up care and annual checks are helpful and his staff is among the best.

Dr. Young is a very good doctor. He listens, has compassion and one can tell that he is into what he does 100%. Top notch is perfect for this doctor!
