Dr. Mary John Baxley

An extraordinary physician.

Dr. Baxley is a wonderful doctor. She is intelligent and is usually always correct with her diagnosis. She still believes in good bedside manners and really listens to the patient.

Dr. Baxley has a wonderful bedside manner. She spends time listening to your complaints and is just a good friend.

Mary John Baxley has been my doctor for a long time. She has saved my life twice, first through making an obscure diagnosis and getting me immediately admitted to the hospital and the second time by getting me to the right doctor to diagnosis my cancer. Although she was not the doctor who treated me through a year of a lot of scary stuff she was available to me in a supportive role. Since then she sees me when I need to be seen, has a lovely support staff. I have difficulty imagining her being rude, but perhaps her forth right straight talk is not for some. I had searched a long time to find a doctor I felt was competent and took the time to understand me and treat me as a whole person.

As a health care professional, I think have a pretty good sense of judgement regarding physicians. Dr. Baxley is always concerned and respectful during visits and phone calls. She is a straight talker, which I appreciate. She listens to my opinion and if my ideas are prudent, she goes along with my wishes. If she disagrees, she lets me know and explains why. I have found her to be very thorough.

I thought that doctor's such as Dr. Barley were long gone. Before visiting Dr Baxley, mt previous physical consisted of temp blood pressure and my Internist typing into a computer. At best, I was with the doctor 15 min. However ith Dr. Baxley, I had aa thorough exam. She addressed all of my questions and concerns. It was all about my health and wellness. I was NOT at another doctor where I felt like I was just a number. I highly recommend her for her up to date, knowledge, bedside manner, professionalism and care. She is one of a kind!

At my age I have been to many doctors. Not one has given me the time and attention that Dr Baxley has. Sure she is sometimes late, thats because she us spending extra time on someone else, just like she does with me sometimes. She actually looks and listens when you are talking. She looks at you holistically, not just a diabetic or what other problem you came in for. She cares and asks about your emotional state, you family life and always ask, is there anything else we need to discuss. Shes not on that 10-15 minute per patient clock that so many others are on.

Baxley is rude, has no interest in the patient's wants or needs, confrontational, and seems to be very incompetent. I knew things medically that she has not even heard of. Horrible experience, avoid her like the plague, which she would misdiagnose if you had anyways.

One of the worst doctors. I love how they think they own everything. Please remind them they are just humans. Terrible.

Dr. Baxley takes time with each patient. She is thorough, knowledgable and caring. Perfect and so rare in today's rush, rush, culture.
