Dr. Mary Bell Hancock Vaughn, MD

Does not help patient find solution or guiding to the required specialist. Dr Mary Bell Vaughn is mean, don’t care about human beings, needs to be kicked out of practicing. She never even try to be clise to patients, uses nurse practitioners, Dr Vaughn is a joke

Upon speaking with the physician about ongoing medical issues, Dr. Vaughn was rude and demeaning. At the point she was made aware that her remarks were insensitive to a member of a minority population, she was dismissive and callous. She made several excuses about how the questions were ”over her pay grade.” When she was informed that I wanted to speak to the practice manager about her demeaning and discriminatory remarks, she stated, ”I own the practice. The practice manager works for me!” I have never met a less caring physician. Avoid Dr. Vaughn at all costs.

Great practice if you don't have complex medical needs. If you do, go elsewhere. Some providers in this practice have great empathy for what may be going on with you, but may not have enough knowledge to order testing or refer to a Specialist if you have multiple medical issues. Sadly, the founder of the practice has the least empathy of all.

Great practice if you don't have complex medical needs. If you do, go elsewhere; although in this area, one's options are limited. Some providers in this practice have great empathy for what may be going on with you, but can't or won't order testing or refer to a Specialist if you have medical issues outside of a common cold, blood pressure medicine refill or need referrals for preventive care such as a mammogram. The office staff always seem kind and courteous. Sadly, the founder of the practice has the least empathy of all and acts as if she doesn't want to be at work.

Absolutely no care coordination w/ patients’ PCP physicians or specialists. Lack of ability to recognize when medical conditions are beyond her expertise or experience. Lack of sufficient knowledge about many medications & known risks & side effects. Lack of ability to recognize that patients & their families/caregivers usually know themselves (patients) & their bodies better than she does...she does not listen to them or consider their input. Very disappointed in her care & hope never to have to see her again, feel bad & afraid for all who do.
