Dr. Mary Walch Duquette, MD

Let me start by saying, Rude, Disrespectful and not honest. Doesn’t hear what you’re saying because she speaks over you in a load voice. I felt rushed on top of her being 52 minutes late she tells me she doesn’t have time to do my full evaluation. We pay a lot of money for our insurance to be treated this way. She clearly was not honest with what she wrote on my health report. I tried giving her a complement after she skulled me but that didn’t help. I can go on and on but this is my honest opinion. I always want to give people the benefit of the doubt because I know that I’ve been giving one too. My appointment was 4/12/23

Waited on average about 40 minutes, even in the morning. She had no interest in providing answers or correcting errors on her part

After waiting for close to 55 minutes, she abruptly comes in ...doesn't greet nor acknowledge our long wait time and goes about manipulating and moving my body like I'm some sort of object. Asks for my old medical records which she already has. Such a lack of respect for her patients time!

I took a week off to recover from my pain and she was the first available specialist to see. My appt was at 11 pm I.was seen at 12:10 pm. Her reason was her computer wouldn't print and save what I have filled in the form. I had questions but she was short, rude and cut me off several times just to tell me... Wait I have to put these information and finish typing the referral, I have no answer for you but... She told me to see my pcp because she doesn't have an answer to my questions and that all she knows is that my spine is ok. She even made a sarcastic comment how I.should know the how many bottles/tubes voltaren came in because I'm a pharmacist. That made me almost lose my temper but I controlled myself because it would do me no good to be worked up. I came as a patient and not a pharmacist. I was treated poorly for no a reason I don't understand. I know we are human but this specialty is involved in pain treatment, and compassion and bed side manner is just as important as… diagnosis and treatment. I will try to see if I can get another physiatrist. Please try to see if you can avoid seeing this doctor.

I didn't have to wait as long as other people that have left reviews, however the follow-up and communication between appointments have been awful. Between appointments, I ran out of the medication my primary care doctor had prescribed. My primary wanted me to go through Dr. Duquette now that I'm seeing her, which was fine. Dr. Duquette doesn't prescribe any habit inducing pain medications. Which is fine by me, however I do need something to help with the pain. I called and left a message requesting what I can take. I was told not to take Ibuprofin due to it interfering with another drug I was put on. Two days later, I had yet to hear back. mind you at this point, I am on nothing. I had to take off work because sitting was too painful. I tried to go to the grocery store, only to be in tears by the time I left because of the pain. I called again 40 minutes before they were supposed to close, and the nurse says well, sorry, but I don't think you'll hear from her today. What am I… supposed to do? She then says, well maybe call your primary again. What? After two days. That's your answer? It's awful. I should have paid attention to these reviews and never had gone and seen her. Huge mistake.

3 separate appointments have had to wait over an hour past appointment time to see Dr. Last time, waited an hour and 25 minutes past wait time before leaving. Have now begun hunt for a new dr.

Terrible bedside manner, rude, dismissive and little to no patient education.

Dr. DuQuette was perhaps the best physician I have ever dealt with as a patient. She was calm, spoke directly and was accurate in what she knew and did not know. She cautioned me on expectations, both positive and negative and followed up in a timely fashion to all my concerns. I feel she is truly a compassionate and caring physician that is an example for all to aspire to.
