Summary
I became a doctor to walk patients through their health journeys, care for them in their best and most vulnerable times and build relationships. Primary care lets me build long-standing relationships with patients. I love the variety of internal medicine. There's lots of opportunity to specialize, but you need to master a wide breadth of knowledge in internal medicine. The best part of medicine is the patients. For a physician-patient relationship to be successful, patients need to trust and feel comfortable with me. When patients open up and share their full selves, it's an honor and it's my favorite part of what I do.
