Dr. Mary Shannon Gallagher, MD

She is very professional and listens to all questions. My sugar levels dropped during delivery and baby was not pushing and felt might need to go for C-section but she handled very calmly. Seeing her I was confident and had vaginal delivery without any complications. Overall she was amazing and will definitely recommend

It took 4 years to get an endometriosis diagnosis. I came to her expressing my deliberating pain. I was always overlooked by her and her physician assistant. After my last visit, I felt like no one believed my pain. I went to get a second opinion. I was diagnosed in May with endometriosis by another doctor who listened to me.

I could give negative stars I would do that. I called to schedule as a new patient and was only given 1 available time bc I was a new patient. Since I was having a serious issue I took the appointment. Date of the appointment I leave work and drive across the city, fight for a parking spot in their ridiculous garage, go inside and pay my co pay. I get called in, sit with Dr. Shannon Gallagher for literally 5 minutes before she tells me the appointment is over and I need to come back for an ultrasound and a yearly exam. No help, no advice, no resolution, no kind of examination whatsoever. Just a waste of time and money. How these people get good reviews is beyond me, they’re supposed to take care of women, it seems all they care about is lining their pockets.

It has taken me 2 years to write this review as the anger and disappointment with Dr Gallagher is now gone. I was a patient of hers for 15 years...never missed an annual check up or any appointment. I had a mammogram and a week later received a call from the office that I needed to return for a closer look. I explained to the assistant I would not be able to return for a few weeks...she said not a problem just let them know when I rescheduled. There was no sense of urgency...no big deal. I rescheduled the mammogram..I called her office and left a message to let them know I was having the second mammogram. In 3 minutes I received a call from the office manager who said “ Our thoughts and prayers are with you”. That was a bombshell ! Two days later Dr Gallagher called to let me know I had breast cancer. At that time I knew she knew something was very serious weeks before this...why didn’t she call and discuss the urgency of the situation? I was frightened and had no idea what to do next… or who to see...I asked her for guidance and names...she said she wasn’t sure ...seriously this was her response. She finally gave me 2 names of doctors. After 15 years of being her patient She NEVER called me for a follow up or just a call to see how I was doing. I am recovering from cancer and am now with the most amazing doctor...caring and I have faith in her. Funny thing...she is in the same building as Gallagher...

Dr. Gallagher delivered my second after my first was horrific both me and my daughter almost died but once I found her the second time around she made sure I was taking care of and sent me to a specialist who was also really good in taking care of me. I went between them both my whole pregnancy and they always communicated about my visits and it made me feel at ease..she was caring and informative and any questions I had she answered. C-section went great with no problems and after everything she checked on me and had follow up visits. Nursing staff and front desk were always smiling and happy they were awesome as well! Wish I could have her for my third but she changed insurances which I'm really bummed about. I would recommend her to everybody!

Wouldn't want anyone else delivering my babies. She take her time on visits and answers any questions you may have.

I picked Dr.Gallagher due to her good ratings and I also wanted a fairly young doctor but as I met her I quickly figured out that she was just in & out no personality or caring nature about her. I am a first time mother and I was expecting her to really coach me about this new experience and be more of a caring doctor. I went on visit to visit hoping mabye she would get more personable until I had a ER expirence.. Total disconnect from my Dr.... I had no phone call no appointment wanting to see me.. NOTHING! I called to let her know my fustration about how I felt and still have not heard from my Dr. I only got a call from her nurse giving me excuses to why I haven't heard from her.. And by the way she does many other things like surgeries, pediatrics, general doctor that she seems like she can't give her all to one thing and that's a major problem for me bc I need more! Hope this helps
