Dr Mary Wynn Hill, MD

A board-certified psychiatrist, Dr. Wynn Hill serves as medical director of the Beaufort Memorial Mental Health Unit. Before coming to Beaufort, she worked as an attending psychiatrist at Roanoke Chowan Hospital in Ahoskie, North Carolina. She was also medical director of outpatient services for Psychiatric Associates of Ahoskie and managed an inpatient geriatric psychiatric unit.
She treats disorders of mood (such as depression or bipolar illness), anxiety disorders, PTSD, ADHD and schizophrenia. She also has expertise in evaluation and treatment of dementia and other cognitive disorders.
Her approach to patient care includes medication management together with coordination of care with local counselors and use of appropriate physical and mental activities. She favors an approach to mental and physical health that is both holistic and remains part of mainstream medicine and follows recognized standards of care.
Dr. Hill accepts patients by referral from physicians and counselors only.
