Dr. Mary Laplante, MD

I cannot highly recommend Dr. Laplante enough if you are one of the many women who suffer from chronic, life impacting pelvic and menstrual pain. When hormone therapy didn't work, she suggested laparoscopic surgery to search for endometriosis. Prior to my surgery, she came in multiple times to ask me if I have any questions which put me at ease. After the procedure, I asked her if she had found my pain and she responded "I am sorry not this time but we will figure it out" as she put her hand on my arm. My recovery from surgery was pretty minimal with no issues. When I went for the post OP, I was expecting the same well you are young and healthy so I don't know what to tell you but she kept her promise and had planned several next steps in treatment. If you want a bubbly doctor to just write you a prescription, she probably isn't for you. However, if you want a partner that truly cares and will help you figure out what is really wrong to FIX the problem then go see Dr. Laplante.

Not only have I worked with this Lady (I cant even bring myself to call her doctor, as it is offensive to the others who actually practice good medicine) I have known people who she has butchered. She routinely needs a urologist or general surgeon as "backup" in the case where she cuts or injures an organ that she wasn't supposed to. She is very rude and has terrible intrapersonal skills. The only thing she has going for her is the ability to suck up to her patients, and tricking them into believing she is good at what she does. In reality, all of the staff request NOT to be part of her procedures, because they actually feel as if they are doing wrong to the patient, rather than good. One of my neighbors had serious complications from a procedure with her. One that typically should take 1.5-2 hours, turned into 8.5 because she cut a ureter (tube which leads urine from the kidney to the bladder) resulting in a urology consult and hours of repair and lifelong consequences. DONT GO TO… HER!

Horrible doctor, delivered my son, had some post-partum issues which she was totally unhelpful with. 1 day after delivery she suggested I had Multiple Sclerosis in the hospital!! Totally unfounded statement which spiraled me into major postpartum depression and anxiety. Worst doctor I have ever encountered.

I love Dr Laplate as a DR very caring and understanding. I called for test results just recently and the lady I spoke to was very short with me.
