Dr. Mary Catherine Moree, MD

I am absolutely shocked at the reviews that I have read about Dr. Moree, here on this site! Dr. Moree was my physician for over five years, and she was kind, cheerful and wonderful to me. There was never a time, not once, that she ever treated me anything but the best. On one office visit I described my symptoms to Dr. Moree, she refereed me further, and that attentiveness that I got from her may have saved my life! This is just one of the things that Dr. Moree did to give me the best care a patient could get. In my opinion, she is the best. From Smells like the beach!

The most hateful uncaring Dr I have ever seen. She is so hateful and cold I don't understand why she would be a so called Dr. She cannot even smile.

Do not go to her for help..... she does not care about you, or anyone else. She lies about your visit, makes things up. Then instructs her assistant to do the same. I don’t know how Scotland health care keeps this place open. There are so many bad reviews, unreal. She is a very incompetent person. I can’t say doctor, she is no where near a medical doctor. DO NOT COME HERE FOR HELP.

I’m not sure who wrote the excellent review at the beginning of this review site. They obviously never went to her for care. The only thing they care about is the dollar, and treating you as quickly and poorly as possible. The only thing she cares about is her next Big Mac. As you can see, she is certainly not the Best example of good health. Do not waste your time here, not good.

This doctor does not deserve to be a doctor and should not have this title period. She does not listen nor does she care about your health issues. If you ask for medication she will accuse you of being a drug addict. She makes things up as you go she does not properly assess you at all and charge you full price for a visit. She should be fired immediately and would not be capable of even being a nurses aid. She is very hateful and accusatory needs to find a different line of work. Do not I repeat do not waste your time on this doctor as she does not and will not care for you. I plan on appealing to the Scotland Board of Health for her removal.

I cannot say anything good about this so called DR!!

I am mainly writing this due to the two negative statements left by other patients. Frankly, I am tired of reading other patient reviews that make it appear as if the dissatisfied patient expected the office to shut down and treat them as if no one else needed to seen. By all means, come in, we laid out the red carpet, have a bottle of sparkling water and relax on your personal couch while our nursing staff ushers all other patients to the parking lot so we can focus on you for three hours. We have brought three specialists from Duke and Chapel Hill. They will gladly discuss your need to take 90 Xanax in 30 days and 120 Percocet in 3 weeks. We understand that your pain must be horrible. Let us run you through the DEA database just to make sure you are not getting too many of these pills. Oh, you don't want us to run your name? Why not? Oh, you have relatives that stole your identity in past. That's no problem. Just provide us with some documentation and we can take care of that little… mishap. You can't? You lost those when DSS took your kids because they never went to school and when they did they were dirty and hungry, and you had to go live with the baby daddy of your first three kids. Great! we can see you. Can we discuss a tubal ligation with you and a vasectomy for your baby daddy? One, my experience has always been a pleasant one. While I will agree that not all staff are pleasant, one can hardly blame the doctor for staff demeanor. Was your check-in bad? If so, see the practice manager. Two, wait times can be tricky. I have waited anywhere from 1 minute to 20 minutes. I understand that sometimes other patients ahead of have more acute issues, or maybe they are understaffed for the day. Regardless, I know this before I go in, and most others do as well. Be patient. I would rather wait to have excellent care, than be taken back right away at another office and treated like a number. Lastly, if you are typing a review and cannot correctly spell the word "definition," then I question the validity of your review and wonder what life choices you have made to limit your ability to correctly spell elementary and middle school vocabulary words.

I am not sure how medicare and insurance companies look at time billed But when I have seen her they look at the clock when you check in and seem to be billed from the time spent while you are waiting and just walked in Communication with office is not accurate. I had heard good things and thought I would give her a try but she does not know the diffenation of Dr.

This Dr was hateful, she did not show any caring, even ask if I wanted her to treat me. I have seen her four times and I have never seen her smile. One of the worst Drs I have ever seen.

We DROPPED this doctor. She was not attentive or courteous. She was condenscending and rather accusatory. While I was in the hospital, I had missed an appointment and she threatened to drop me as patient. She did not even look at my records to see that that appointment was a follow up to my week long hospital stay. I would not and could not recommend this doctor. I am taking my health and business to a new doctor.
