Dr. Mary Olender, MD

I had a disappointing experience with Dr. Olenders office. I was blindsided by a $250 new patient fee that was never mentioned to me beforehand. Transparency about costs is crucial in healthcare, and this lack of communication left me feeling frustrated and misled. Additionally, I have been trying to get a response from the office for over a year regarding this issue, but my attempts have gone unanswered. This complete lack of professionalism and poor customer service are unacceptable, and I would not recommend this physician based on my experience.

I highly recommend Dr. Mary Olender. I have been a patient of hers for over 6 years. I feel the most comfortable with her and wouldn't trade her for the world. When you are with Dr. Olender, you know you are in good hands, period. She will go above and beyond to make sure you are healthy, run all the necessary tests, and nothing extra. She is also super down to earth, easy to talk to, and is also very funny. I love her truly.

Mary Olender is an amazing gynecologist with a fabulous bedside manor that really is so warm and wonderful. She cares so much for her patients and her follow up is fabulous!

I am so happy i came here, they are the BEST! i have had 2 concerns latley and they booked me the same day and they make me feel that they care and Dr. Oleander is sweet and very smart, she really has the best interest in here patients.

I`ve scheduled my appointment a month ago, got call a day before asking to reschedule, as doctor has some emergency surgery, I agreed of course, came yesterday after work(left two hours earlier). Waiting room full of people, after spending 30 min there I realized that several people in that room were walk-in patients. In about 10 min some of people cancelled appointments, as doctor was away behind. In 30 min of waiting there, I finally been taken inside and told that doctor will come to talk, than after that I have to change clothes and wait till she come again to check me up. I`ve waited another 30 min in that small room, I heard doctor talking to several patients in next rooms, then (!), I heard her coming out and picking walk - in patient, who turned to be a russian, doctor was checking her up instead of me (???), i`m assuming that was a cash patient. What is going on there, seriously? On what planet am I? I simply got up and left... Never coming here again..... that reminded me… about russian style of service I`ve been experiencing back there. I left my work, wasted more than an hour, and left without being seeing by doctor, how " cool" is that?

Unorganized office, been billed for items that I should not have been billed for, have to remind them to get my medication before my appointment, always a long wait time for appointment

Please don't even waste your time going to this office. Dr. Olender will push meds on you when you don't even need them. Her diagnosis is unaccurate. If someone has a complication, mostly during pregnancy, the first thing a good obgyn would do is getting a specialist involved and work together before getting to a final conclusion and on top of that pushing on drugs & steroids when mommy and baby don't even need them! Thank God I was able to find another doctor who rescued me and after that my whole pregnancy experience completely changed. I made it to term, baby was healthy and I was able to put this nightmare behind. Don't go to this doctor, save yourself a big headache and a stressful experience!

I was having trouble finding an ob/gyn doc that I was happy with. My general doctor recommended Dr. Olender and I'm so glad he did. I saw her before I was pregnant and was very happy with the care I received. Also, I just had my first baby and Dr. O was fantastic during my prenatal care as well as the delivery. I don't know about her Tarzana office, but her West Hills office is great. The nurses are great, the staff is great, and I really like this doc. I've recommended her to my friends without any hesitation.

Most disrespectful office staff ever!

Let me start with the difficulty I had making an appt. Dr Olender is only available for appts 2 weekdays a week, so I made mine on a Thursday at 9am. I arrived at the office at 8:55, the office was still closed, which is fine since I was early. I waited till 9:10 before 2 staff members open the door, did they greet me at all? No. They did not even acknowlege that I was there. I went in the office and asked if I had to fill out insurance info, so I did. 35minutes go by so it's now 9:45 and I asked,"how long do you think it will be before the dr sees me?"The front desk woman said " we don't know when she will be coming in, sometimes 10, 11, she gets caught up at her rounds at the hospital." so basically, I was waiting for no dr, the staff didn't even consider letting me know she could be that late, and I'm late for work.I should've looked for another OB at that point but I desperately needed to see someone immediately so they rescheduled me for the following week. To make a long story… short, I suspected I had vaginitis, she took a culture, gave me a prescription. A week later, I called and spoke with the MD and she said the test came back normal. I still had symptoms of an infection, so I found another OB and sure enough, I had an infection. Please don't waste your time at this office. I wish I could give no stars.
