Dr. Mary Chris Petropoulos, MD

Dr. Mary Petropoulos was our kids pediatrician. Our health insurance changed. We called her office, gave the new insurance info, and explicitly requested that they verify that the doctor was in-network. They confirmed yes. Days before the appointment, we called again and asked to check again with insurance. We were confirmed yes again. On the day of the appointment I asked the front office one more time, they said yes again. Later, I get a bill for $1200, and when I call the office, they tell me that the doctor was not in-network and the insurance did not cover, and that I am responsible to pay the bill. I called back and protested the charges. The office lady was very rude, basically said it's not their fault, and nothing can be done. I asked if I could talk to the doctor about it, the office lady flatly said the doctor will not talk to me and that it that. What kind of doctor would not talk to their patients? Absolutely horrible doctor and staff at Austin Children's Clinic. Don't go.

I've been taking my kids to Dr. Petropoulos for 10 years. She is a wonderful pediatrician. She takes all my concerns seriously and makes sure that I leave the office with all my questions answered. She treats the kids with kindness and respect. I wish she could be my family practice doc.

My three children have been seeing Dr. Petropoulos for many years and she is patient and loving with all of my children. She is a great listener and cares for my children.

Dr. Petropoulos has been my children's doctor for 13 years and I have nothing but good things to say about her. She is completely present when she's with you, she listens without seeming rushed. She speaks to my kids in a caring yet authoritative way so they have come to respect and like her. My son was sad when he turned 18 and had to find another doctor and I was too. I wish we could find a family practice doctor as good as Doctor Petropoulos.

I have suggested Dr. Petropoulos to several friends as she is very attentive to the patient and parent needs and concerns. Her staff are also very helpful and patient with the children.
