Dr. Mary Piel was born in San Francisco and attended Katherine Delmar Burke School for thirteen years. She went to UC Santa Barbara and UC Berkeley for her undergraduate education. She attended Universite de Paris, Sorbonne where she studied the French language. She then went to Mills College in Oakland where she received a M.A. in Early Childhood Education and Child Life Specialist. She then went on to Medical School at the University of Alabama in Birmingham. She completed her Internship and Residency at the University of California Irvine. She has been with our practice since 1990.
