Dr. Mary Sherfey Rago, MD

Showed a lot of frustration with me. Interrupted often. Was condescending at times. Would not recommend or go back. Should not treat people that are in need of help with such rudeness.

I don’t typically write bad reviews but this women was horrible. Very rude and extremely condescending. Talking about things that didnt even pertain to her speciality very arrogantly . Worst patient Doctor experience I’ve ever had. Don’t go here.

I went to her because I wanted to see if anything had changed with my paralyzed vocal cords. She checked them and said they were the same. Then she became obsessed with acid reflux saying she could hear the result of it when listening to my breathing in my back. She said my throat was red from it. I had been treated for it and it hasn't bothered me. She changed my medication and I had to have a return visit. I went back and she sat across from me and never checked my throat or breathing. She talked mostly down to me. I said something about my breathing being frustrating and she informed me I had trouble breathing because I am out of shape and in poor condition. She said this with emphasis a couple of times. My left vocal cord is completely paralyzed and the right one only works at 25%. They are in the center and don't open much to breathe. I have never been treated so poorly in my life. I touched my face and she yelled at me and said not to touch my nose or face again and… shoved tissues at me saying that is how people spread colds. I don't have a cold. I wasn't thinking and touched my face again and she yelled at me again saying " mam I told you not to touch your face". Weird and rude. Needless to say I will never go back and will tell others not to go either.

She removed a tumor from behind my right ear. Since the removal I have had a chronic headache emanating from that ear. The headache is on the upper side of that ear. Also pain traveling down to above my right shoulder. All from that right ear. When I went in to see her she she said it was caused by ear wax I can't see it being ear wax because the pain has been with me since the operation. She really has bad manners, that become ignorance. No tests, no x-rays.

I have been fortunate to be a patient of Dr. Rago for over 4 years. Dr. Rago has been instrumental in treating my allergies and chronic sinus problems. In addition, Dr. Rago assisted intricately in a life threatening hemorrhage episode the required emergency surgery with specialty surgeons at another hospital.

Love Dr Rago and her staff! Dr. Rago is very caring and explains everything in an easy to understand way. I really can’t believe the negative reviews on here. If I could give her 10 stars I would!

I am not the usual person to write horrible reviews but this woman was ABUSIVE towards my husband. We went there for a problem, and all she did was fixated on EAR WAX. We now have serious concerns and NO answers. She was belittling, rude, and HURT my husband. The office was DIRTY. I wouldn’t see this woman again - EVER! She laughed at our concerns, and didn’t help us at all. I left there feeling more upset than when we went. If I knew how to report her I would. She literally enjoyed jamming her fingers inside of his mouth, JAMMING things into his ears, JAMMING wooden sticks into his mouth, JAMMING things into his nose. Sickened by her treatment.

Dr. Rago was very unprofessional!! I would NEVER recommend her. She was insulting and rude!

Dr. Rago saved me from having a serious operation that would deformed me for life because of tongue cancer. And she told me like it was and didn't try to sugar coat it like other Dr's have done in the past. I highly recommend her and my whole family see's her now.

Dr. Rago is a lifesaver! I had been suffering from allergies for years and no one recognized it. Dr. Rago was thoughtful, caring and knowledgeable. She explained everything to me from start to finish and took great care of me through a difficult time. Her team is also WONDERFUL!
