Dr. Mary Elizabeth Scannell, MD

Dr. Scannel has so much experience and wisdom, we trust her entirely. But her staffs can be better, polite and helpful. We had to call multiple times and every time we were hesitant to call the office because of the behavior of the staff. We hope this review leads to some behavior change .

Best doctor around. Always sees her patient in the event of an emergency. Easy to get an appointment. Very knowledgeable in ob/gyn. Good bedside manner, got me in for emergency surgery same day as my visit. Excellent staff makes you feel right at home. I highly recommend this office.

This woman has left me with trauma for the rest of my life. I am scarred and this doctor should not be in practice. I filed a formal complaint with the board of health but nothing was done. Just.. Please choose a different doctor.

She rushed me to put NEXPLANON in my arm. It gave me horrible symptoms. I begged to have it taken out on emergency and her office refused. I said I was about to hurt myself I was in so much pain from the symptoms and her office simple ignored my pleas for help. They claimed to have appointments open for me the next day, I called and got no answer. They then bullied me on the phone trying to say that I was the one at fault when I did everything they told me to and they were the one who gave me false information. The most terrible practice ever and I would not waste my time with a doctor as horrible as her. The nurses are completely incompetent and so rude. I will be suing them for negligent behavior.

Mary has been my doctor for many years. She is easy to talk to and has always been very helpful! I'm grateful to have her as my doctor.

The first vist with the doctor went well, other then Mary Scannell trying to push the flu shot on me repeatedly. Her staff are useless, rude, and incompetent. I signed a release form for hospital records and the staff called me for the FAX number. They constantly talk down to me, and the records I can provide, it took them a full week to tell me I have a UTI, and I had a hard time getting medication from the staff to doctor exchange. I am currently enrolled in nursing school and have to say these staff should be fired. I am finding a new obgyn, I do not want to deal with there people and make this such a bad experience

The doctors are both wonderful. Being my first preganancy it was scary but made me feel comfortable. The staff is another issue, rude and they could care less.
