Dr. Mary Josephine Zanders, MD

I have been going to Dr Zanders for 24 years and I will hate the day she decides to retire. She may not always be punctual, but I know that she is giving the best care possible to the patient ahead of me and in todays standards for doctors, she is a gem.

My concern is that I am seeing reviews on here that apparently have not been filed at the state level that appear to qualify for that complaint process. This doctor takes out her personal feelings on patients which is completely inappropriate, unprofessional and unacceptable behavior for a doctor!

Dr. Zanders was my doctor for over 10 years before I moved out of the area. Highly recommended!!

This doctor is possibly the worst doctor I have EVER had the misfortune of encountering. She is a rude, nasty, and judgmental woman. Those are probably the most mild terms I could come up with. Get ready to wait 1-2 hours AT LEAST. Then get ready to have the worst appointment of your life. I don't understand WHY on earth this woman chose a profession that requires her to interact with human beings. She should stay far away from people. If I could give ZERO stars for her bedside manner diagnoses, I would. Save yourself the trouble, and find a different doctor.

The only gripe I have is with the horrendous wait time. I have never had an appointment where I haven't been kept waiting for at least an hour and latterly for almost two. Twice I have left and rescheduled.

This doctor was not very coherent at either of my visits. At first, I thought that I may have caught her on a bad day, but at my next visit she still seemed very scattered and disorganized. She was also yelling and belittling her staff in front of patients. The wait is also terribly long. I would never go back to this doctor again.

If you want an uncaring, rude, judgmental doctor, go with Zanders. AND, you get to wait 1-2 hours for EVERY single visit for her horrid bedside manner.

She is a horrible doctor. She doesnt care about patient life. In West Houston Labor and Delivery (L&D) department, she got very low rating among her peer/staff. I will not recommend this doctor to anyone.

Wait time for this doctor is unbelievable.You can count on waiting 1 hour + and even as long 1:45 minutes.Twice I have left the office with out seeing the doctor. I will definately be finding another doctor.

She is very unprofessional. If you complain of having any kind of pain she automatically assumes you need antidepression medication. Wait time in her office is over two hours. She does not return phone calls about concerns you may have AFTER surgery. She contradicts her instructions that she gives you for after care. She does not have good communication with her staff who will alter medications with out telling dr. Staff at office is very rude. She argues with staff (i.e.yelling) in front of patients. Please do not see her, she is very flighty!!!!
