Dr. Maryjoy A Weathersby, MD

Dr. Weathersby is so kind and caring. I appreciated all of her genuine concern for my health and mental well-being as well as her full attention to my baby's health and development. The only issue I've ever had relates to the restrictive choices of a Catholic hospital. I don't think faith should have a place in governing modern medicine and a woman's options for care, be they pre-natal, at delivery, or post-partum. But that's provincial Corpus for you.

If I could give no stars I would. I can not stand this Dr at all. She has never been on time (less than an hour behind) to any of my appts. The first time I saw her she didn’t even say a single word to me came in took the baby heart rate and walked out. No matter the situation I would never let this Dr deliver my baby. Horrible bedside manner and mo obvious care for her patients.

She made lm feel really comfortable I can tell her anything.

If you want a doctor that disregards your birth plan, pressures you into procedures, threatens and berates you for doing what's best for you and your baby, then this is the doctor for you. She will not discuss the risks with you and you and your baby deserve a doctor that will look at all possible risks. Please take your baby and birth plan to see another doctor. She is not worth the hour or more wait.

Wish I could have a different doctor. But they don’t allow you to. Worst experience ever. She doesn’t listen to your concerns. She questioned me as to why I was doing something I think is necessary for my health. You wait a long time to see her for 5mins. She’s isn’t an advocate for me. She hardly lets you talk. Do yourself a favor and make sure you don’t see her as your doctor.

Dr. Weathersby is the best ONGYN I've been to in all my life! I don't feel like just a quick pay day when I go see her. I feel like she listens and hears what I'm saying. I've seen a lot of different OBs through the years being Military, but she is hands down the best

I needed a new doctor, and called Spohn to set up an appointment, and was given Dr. Weathersby. My appointment was at 2:30pm, and I left my job for an extended lunch at 2:10, got there at 2:15, and wasn't taken back until 3:00pm (30 minutes after my appointment!?) then proceeded to wait ANOTHER hour (Yes, until 4:00pm) in the robe they gave me. When 4:05pm hit, I put my clothes back on and told them I had been gone from work for almost two hours, and that I had to leave. I walked out of my exam room, and I saw her standing outside an exam room just chatting with the nurses. I looked to my nurse and told her "I'm sorry, but I have to go back to work. My appointment was supposed to be an hour and a half ago, and I have to leave so they don't lock the doors on me when we close." I never kick up a fuss about waiting, but this was absolutely ridiculous. Dr. Weathersby LITERALLY SHRUGGED when I said that. No apology. No reaction. No care at all. I have never been treated this way in my… entire life by a doctor. Do not go to her.
