Dr. Empie is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics (AAP), is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP) and clinical instructor at the University of Rochester. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Rochester with a B.A. in Economics, and then stayed in Rochester to receive his medical school training. After completing his pediatric residency at the University of Rochester in 2005, he was asked to remain at Strong Memorial Hospital for an additional year to serve as Chief Resident in Pediatrics. Deeply committed to the Rochester community and its children, Dr. Empie then joined Long Pond Pediatrics in the summer of 2006.
He and his wife, who practices Obstetrics and Gynecology here in Rochester, have two young daughters. As time allows, Dr. Empie enjoys racquet sports, skiing, music, classical literature, drawing and pottery.
