His arrogance is unbearable, always talks down to you. Beware, his enormous ego is very fragile. Ask a couple difficult questions and he gets upset and defensive. He would be better off doing research only, so he doesn’t interact with the public.

He listened well. He gave me a medicine and now I feel better than I have in years. I really liked his bedside manner. I recommended him to some of my friends who are having GI problems.

Great doctor. I have had issues with my stomach for many many years and saw many GI doctors with no help. Dr. Bechtold fixed me. He listens and cares. He is a great doctor.

Dr. Bechtold, as chief of this clinic, has repeatedly shown that he can’t do much more than scope a patient. Any kind of research or follow-up consultation seems to be more than he can handle in his present position. If a patient can’t be healed with a couple of simple tests, they should seek care elsewhere. And if you tell Dr. Bechtel that his care is substandard, Hewill just refuse to see you again.
