Dr. Matthew Block, MD

Great doctor and great man.

Saw all his attacks on everyone in the Laurinburg exchange. If you Google his name he's had serious problems with Medical board and alcohol.

Dr. Block is a great doctor. He prolonged my mom's life taking great care treating her CHF and cumin. She passed at the age of 82 but not from heart failure but Sepsis contacted in the hospital. Then it was my turn I had an enlarged heart and CHF was ready to give up and Dr Block saved me and is still treating me. My brother Tom was checked out with a strong heart and was treated with great respect by Dr Block and his staff, you see Tom had a learning disability. Dr Block saved my husband's life from a heart attack caused by a hole eaten in his stomach from naproxen and was bleeding internally. I would wait all day if needed for my appointment with Dr. Block. I pray for him everyday, God please continue to bless Dr. Block with the healing touch you have blessed him with even when he is standing my the side of a family member waiting for you to take them home, as he did with my mom. God gave you a gift to help people. You know you are doing a good job when people try to crucify you. … Amen

Do not disagree with this man he will drop you as a patient! He will look you in the face and lie! Instead of "buyer beware" should be "patients beware"

How he stood with me when my Mom was on her dealth bed. The compassion he gives with you and your spouse. I do recommend to all my family and friends.

I know that Dr. Block is a good man and doctor but how could he not know what was going on in his office? Maybe he is too busy because he has too many patients or because of his duties as mayor! I don't think he has handled this hepatitis issue very wisely. I think he should have sent out a letter to his patients first to try and explain what happened instead of letting most of them find out about it in the local newspaper. Personally I think he needs to clean house at his office, resign as mayor, cut back on taking new patients and try to concentrate on this situation and help to resolve it. Believe me I am so confused because Dr. Block has helped a family member and has been a very good doctor but I just feel he has gotten to be too busy!

Dr. Block treated my mother in 2007. He encouraged her and the family so much; took off medication that was causing bad side effects; took up time with Mother and the family...never rushed the visits. He was one of the most caring and concerned doctors Mother had out of three separate hospitals and many doctors.

A person could not ask for a more wonderful,caring,professional and compassionate physician than Dr Matthew Block. I for one am sick of all the gossip I have heard spread about him.Remember people there are two sides to every story. No matter the outcome of all this my husband and I will continue to support him and hope his other patients will too.
