Dr. Matthew Courtney Bowen, DO

I was very impressed with Dr. Bowen on my first visit. He took time to talk to me to find out about my past history. He was kind and respectful and was able to tell me what I needed to do to recover from my illness. He is an excellent doctor and I would refer him to my friends and family.

I made an appointment with Dr. Bowen for medical marijuana (MM) card paperwork at the suggestion of another medical provider. On Friday I made the appointment and they got me in early Monday. Today, I show up and the lady at the front desk asks if I really wanted an appointment because Dr. Bowen does NOT do any MM paperwork. She clearly knew that is what I was there for beforehand. When I asked why someone did not call me and say anything earlier, she mumbled something about a student being at fault and then just stared at me. When I made the appt on Friday, the scheduler put me on hold to, "check on that" so it was not the student's fault. If the lady had simply said sorry, I would have been disappointed but not upset. Due to the coronavirus, I was the only person in their office so they were certainly not busy. I was so upset about exposing myself to the virus for no reason, and for being blown off when I asked for some sort of an explanation, that I simply walked away. A rotten… experience. Note: I did not actually see Dr. Bowen but this system is making me choose at least one star for each category.

Dr. Bowen is Amazing. He is so patient and friendly. He always there when i have a problem and has a great bed side manner. He always gives me the time I need to ask question or voice concerns with meds. I highly Recommend Dr. Bowen.
