Dr. Matthew Spurrier Brown, MD

Dr. Brown goes through the motions but NEVER listens during appointments. He asked the same questions and gives the exact same replies every visit. He talks down to parents and is condescending. Do not visit Dr. Brown.

DR. BROWN IS ONE OF THE BEST PEDIATRICIAN THAT I HAVE TAKEN MY KIDS TOO HE ALWAYS LISTENS TO MY CONCERNS AND MEETS EVERY NEED POSSIBLE.. BOTH MY KIDS WERE SICK AND HE RIGHT AWAY MADE SURE THEY WERE TAKEN CARE OF. I WON'T SWITCH DR'S

We decided to make an appt Dr. Brown because his new clinic was close to where we lived. He came in the room with a cart that had his computer on it. He hide behind it for the majority of the visit, typing on it. He didn't listen at all to what I was saying. He also has a horrible bedside manner. How can this guy be a pediatrician? He was rough and impatient with my child. I would never take my child to see him again or refer anybody to him. In fact I am going to tell everybody I know about my experience. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else, your child will thank you for it!

When the new karcher clinic opened I thought I would give Dr Brown a shot even though he didn't get great reviews, because it was less than 5 minutes from home. I took my daughter in for her 2 year check up. The front desk staff was friendly and personable, the medical assistant was awkward, but nice. Then after waiting nearly 25 minutes Dr Brown came in (mind you I was the first appointment of the day and arrived to my appointment on time). He had a huge computer on a cart, and didn't look up from the screen until he had gone through 5 minutes of questions. He asked if she was getting at least 3 servings of whole milk a day. I told him that I offer milk, but she doesn't like it so I also give her lots of yogurt and cheese. His response was very condescending and told me if I only allow her to drink milk that's all she would drink. At one point he asked if I had any questions, and I told him I had noticed a discoloration on her scalp, he recommended treatment without even looking at… it. He gave outdated and incorrect information on car seat safety and all but told me I was an idiot for keeping her rear facing even though the AAP recommendation is to rear face as long as possible within the height and weight limitations of the seat. Overall, he was rude, impersonal, and condescending. I will not be seeing him again.

We just recently set up our children with Dr. Brown. We have had several visits with him. I can say he made our children giggle and feel more at ease about their appointments. I had some health concerns over one of our children and I would say he went above and beyond making sure our child was healthy. I am very pleased with how he did his job. I don't think parents and doctors always agree about everything but he heard my concerns respectfully while also trying to voice his as well. I am pleased with the practice. They always get me in if I have a concern and I would def. Recommend Dr.Brown to other families from what we have experienced so far. I thought he acted great with the kids and very respectful towards us as parents.

I do not like this Doctor he is not good with kids at all, he did not allow me to finish my sentences over talked me, he's to rough on the kids does not even acknowledge the child just jumps in and takes control not trying to make the doctor visit a good experience for the child. I just wanted to punch the guy in the throat for not letting me tell him about my concerns about my child. mothers are not idiots we know when there is something wrong with our children. I will never take my kids to him again and I will NOT recommend him to anyone

Dr Brown is an adaquate Dr. His nursing staff is not very professional and receptionist and billing dept are awful. My experience in the appt was not the best. These were standard growth checkups for an infant and older children. He seemed doubtful of things I was worried about and talked to me as if I didn't know anything. Even though I was a mother of 3. Also used the exact same phrases every time he saw any of my children, making me feel like he took no individual interest in them. He was always polite and I don't feel wait times were awful. They practice couldn't even schedule the next appt for a standard baby because it was too far out.
