Dr. Matthew Chang is an excellent surgeon and completely changed my life for the better. When I came to him with my MRI, it showed I had severe sciatica on my left side, running from my buttocks all the way down to my toes. A year later, I have no such pain and my back feel stronger every day. Also, his medical assistant is awesome and followed up with me on all my insurance related issues. I would recommend this doctor and his team! Adele Robinson

I have seen this "dr" once, should've been twice, but once. my first visit was 2013, came in for surgery consultation. He COMPLETELY dismissed me, he made it VERY clear I was not wanted in that office. Didn't take the time to review my MRI results, or examine me period. He told me to go back to pain management. I made an official complaint with Kaiser. Flash forward five years to today, 2018, an appointment was made for me with a different surgeon but was cancelled and rescheduled with this guy. I was willing to put my personal opinion about him aside in order to be seen since kaiser has a 1.5 to 2 month waiting period for appointments. After he realized who I was, he sent his assistant to let me know, as I'm sitting in his office, that he was backed up and that I would need to reschedule and come back another time. This so-called doctor has the bedside manners of a zombie. He is a straight up, bonafide a**hole. BE WARNED.

Because of my insurance i was sent to this doctor. he was slick and i thought good but realised he wanted me to have an operation without even trying any way to not have an operation.i guess he gets more money for operating so i decided to see someone with more experience and better training

Dr chang did surgery on me 10 years ago and 9 years ago. I wish he was back in hampton roads so I could see him again.

Dr. Matthew Y. Chang makes positive things happen. I'm very grateful to have Dr. Chang as my Surgeon. He has a beautiful smile and a friendly personality. I couldn't be more satisfied to have Dr Chang as my doctor.
