Dr. Matthew Thomas Ewald, MD

Dr Ewalds office once was a great place with answers. Those days are long gone I assure you. Its neither a great place, nor does it have much for answers. I thought we the customer meant so much more. Not the case

Have been going there for a couple of years and it is in general a good practice but Dr. Ewald last time that I was there, he only for a few minutes (5 tops) and did not answered all of my questions, make me feel that he didn't care in general about me. Switched to a different primary care

Dr. Ewald is a great doctor. The office runs like a well-oiled machine. He truly cares about what's going on with you. He can sometimes move a little fast depending on his load for the day. If forget to ask him something during you appointment, you can always leave a message on their line and the medical assistants will consult with him and call you back within a few hours. The check their voicemail a few times a day.

I have been a patient of Dr. Ewald for more than 15 years and in that time have experienced his patient guidance to better my life. I highly rate his medical advice and kindness.

Dr Ewald is great,but the staff is rude and unhelpful. I once stood for 2 minutes at the front window while the ladies in the back were talking about what they did over the weekend. The staff seems like you are always annoying them when you come in there. I had moved 2.5 hours away from Rochester but was still using Stonebrook Family Physicians because I liked Dr Ewald that much, I was out of a medicine that has bad side effects when you stop taking it, and was having my girlfriend pick up the script for me when she got out of work on a Friday. She was going to be there right at 5PM (when they close) or a few minutes after. I called and talked to two different women about possibly staying a few minutes so that she could pick up the script. Both of them said there was no way they could do that, even after I mentioned I lived 2.5 hours away. My girlfriend was there at 5:03 and the doors were locked. I understand I was asking them to do something outside of their set "Business Hours", but… its not like I was picking up a loaf of bread. It was pretty important to me to get the script considering the distance and I will be out of the medicine for 4 days. It's too bad I will have to change my doctor even though I would still be willing to drive to see Dr Ewald as I think he is an awesome doctor.

Dr. Ewald is a great physician who will go the extra mile to help in every way he can. His patience and listening skills are superior. I have worked with doctors for many years and he is by far the most caring and genuine. His expertise has helped me on many occasion beat from the regular cold to depression. I highly recommend him and his staff.

Dr. Ewald has been my personal physician for over 5 years now. He is a thorough, capable doctor and a genuine real person that listens.

I was referred to Dr Ewald by my sister and thank GOD he is the best at what he does he knew exactly what I needed the first day he met me if it wasn't for him I would still be misdiagnosed and miserable I would recommend him to anyone he talks to you and listens to you like a person and does what ever he can to help I thank him for everything he (YOU) Are the BEST

I went looking for a doctor at the worst time- when I was already sick. Isn't that how it usually works?I never liked going to the doctor, and I get sick alot and have alot of allergies; but I have been going to Dr. Ewald at Stonebrook Family Physicians for 6 years now. So I have vistied them for all sorts of reasons- from general physicals, to flu/ virus season, to bronchitis and sinus infections. When I've needed a doctor I can trust in an emergency- like an allergic reation to food/ medication, Dr.Ewald has been there to make sure I get prompt health care.Dr.Ewald has always been very friendly, curteous, honest, and understanding. He is very quick to provide the medical care you need, and get the prescription sent electronically to any drugstore you want. Dr.Ewald wants you to have the care you need right away and start getting better. Dr. Ewald will come up with prescription solutions to work your budget, and will provide suggestions for your general health. If a prescription isn't… working, call the office, and he will send a different one right over to the pharmacy. If you need to make an appointment, you can usually get one the same day. If it's an emergency, they will find a way to get you in as soon as possible.Dr. Ewald is knowledgeable, caring, and attentive, and I recommend him highly to anyone looking for a great doctor.
