Dr. Matthew Lee Hinsley, MD

I recently had an overactive parathyroid gland removed by Dr. Hinsley. The entire process from evaluation to surgical recovery was outstanding. I had no associated pain other than a sore throat for a few days caused by the breathing tube. I would highly recommend Dr. Hinsley.

Dr Hinsley fired me as a patient because I requested to have the excessive $100 copay for a 5min office visit billed to me. I also requested to not have a hearing test because my insurance doesn’t pay for the $170 procedure, but was willing to have it if absolutely necessary. He fired me and refused to see me for questioning these two financial hardships. I am single mother who is caring for and supporting my 74y/o mother Who recently had a stroke. I can’t believe that I was fired for asking to be billed for $100 copay??? I would not recommend a provider that doesn’t care about his patients or doesn't allow patients to question the cost of tests and I even have insurance!!!. what do people do who don’t have insurance. Very poor integrity and not a caring attitude at all. Don’t ever allow a doctor like this to treat you or your family members. Keep reading reviews... apparently he doesn’t diagnosis people appropriately either. Worst experience I have ever had with a doctor in my life.

I have had 13 surgeries over my long life. Dr. Hinsley was THE BEST surgeon I have ever had. Knowledgeable, courteous, great dexterity with surgery, takes his time, fabulous bedside manner. I would recommend this doctor in a NY minute. Minimal scarring on my neck too and no bruising after surgery. FANTASTIC doctor who took care of my congential thyroglossal duct cyst whereas other doctors blew me off for 25 years.
