Dr. Matthew Hoggatt, MD

Had surgery 2 weeks ago. Post-op appt reschedule for another week. Having issues and have left numerous messages which apparently no one knows how to return a phone call ??

Love dr hoggatt explains in detail and answers all questions I have always left feeling like I understand everything. And even at the hospital as well is was very good,but as he deserves 5 stars I give only 3 because it is very difficult almost impossible to make an appointment no one answers the phone and the recording says call will be returned in 24 hr for apts and they are not ,girl at the front desk on Astoria usually has an attitude but dr is great

this doctor is always nice and cheerful. I have full confidence in his knowledge of his field. He answers all my questions and does not rush me. Doesn't mind repeating himself for me. I trust him fully. As for some of the comments I have read above. If you can't see what a great dr. this man is you really are sick. This doctor is never rude to his patients. Sometimes everybody has to wait their turn in anyplace they go. Although I have not had to wait long for Dr. Hoggatt. Some people take longer with the doctor than others. that is just the way it is. I vote him excellent and hope he continues to allow me to have him as my specialist.

Dr. Hoggatt recently did my surgery, robotically and he and his surgical team are the BEST. He is such a professional, kind and caring doctor. He will answer any question his patient has very thoroughly. He's very calm and put me at ease on my very first visit.

I was referred to Dr. Hoggatt and was very pleased with his knowledge, and the information that he sharred with me> I learned a great deal about my particular medical situation and will continue to seek His council. Did I wait Yes as in most medical offices but purhaps I am not the only person there with a problem, some more severe than others. I thought him to be very professional in his approach. I am an adult an do not need a Dr. to focus on my sesitivity. I want facts.

what a joke of a doctor needs to go back to school or let mamma give him some people skills waste of my time acted like he was doing me a favor give him the benefit of doubt went 2nd time will not be a 3d did nothing for me!!!!!

This doctor is very rude and doesnt care to hear what you are telling him about your health. Had sergary and he did such a bad job im having to get the same sugery done again with another dr.

I had the unlucky draw of the cards when this doctor was on call when I was admitted to the hospital. In the hospital he seemed ok (I was on lots of pain meds) except for the fact that he discharged me from the hospital only 1 1/2 hours after I had surgery. When I followed up with him in his office, he was horrible. He was an hour late seeing me and acted irritated and in a hurry. He gave me no education on my condition at all. He and his nurse left the room and told me to get dressed and I could go. When I stood up, I almost passed out so I laid back down on the exam table and it was at least 15 minutes before anyone (a clerk) came in and told me "you can get dressed". I told her that I could not. The nurse came back in to help me dress, but nobody took any vital signs at any time during my visit to have stents removed. The office was dingy and outdated.

I listen to him talk to the patients in the hall way, the kindness, sense of connecting with his patients was so strong. when he came in the room he was very easy to talk to, showed me my x-rays and explained what needed to be done. He answered all my questions. I am so glad he is my doctor.

Worst experence at a Doctor I have every had.. Staff was horrible, rude, would not take my car to a mechanic that treated me this way. found another doctor.
